Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards

Please note that I am no longer selling SDRAM or RTC boards! I will have fans and heatsinks (heatsinks should be re-stocked by Monday). I am working on an all new board for the DE-10 that has an I/O board, SDRAM board, and RTC board all combined into a single sided board. I may end up also adding a ...

Re: SCP disk images !

The SCP uses a hardware capture feature of the CPU. Every time there is a transition of the READ DATA line, the time is captured. As you know, there is a short pulse followed by a long duration to the next short pulse. The capture is programmed to ignore the short pulse and time from bitcell to bitc...

Re: SCP disk images !

There is nothing "pushed" to any revolution. The dump is straight without any modifications done. The index to index pulse time is used to determine the exact position of where the bitcells are split on multi-revolution images. You have to use the index to index pulse time, along with the ...

Re: SCP disk images !

Help Putting the floppy cable incorrectly is certainly not a good idea but does anybody knows if this kill the board? Can it be repaired? Yes, plugging the cable in backwards destroys the HUEY and/or DUEY chips on the SuperCard Pro board. The good news is that there is a lifetime warranty on the bo...

Re: SCP disk images !

Just wondering if I have a specific problem with my SCP hardware (got one of the first units) or if everybody getting the same error. Very (very) often when I try to image a floppy I am getting “Read Length > RAM capacity” error and there is no other option than to cancel the imaging process. As ex...

Re: SCP disk images !

In most case the fact that the first value is incorrect That is not the case. The first value is correct. The value will be the duration from the index position until the end of that bitcell. If you add the first bitcell value to the last bitcell value (which ends somewhere during the index positio...

Re: SDRAM board

I found that I had to use a variety of different caps on the same board in order for them to pass at 167MHz. I use two .1uf, two 1uf, and one each of 4.7uf and 10uf. If I use any other combination, then 167MHz fails. The Winbound chips much be really sensitive to bus noise.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

If you guys would like to add .scp image format (like UAE/FS-UAE/WinUAE has), I would be happy to help with information about it. It was easy for Keir Fraser to add the support to UAE. .scp is a flux level image that allows you to run 100% of all Amiga disks, including those with any type of copy-pr...

The short SDRAM boards will be available tomorrow. I have 2 of the original tall vertical left, and 100 of the short version. I need to take a picture of the short version and add it to my shopping system.

I will have some more of these boards shortly. These are all testing at 167MHz perfectly.

Re: Buy / Sell MiSTer Expansion Boards

I have to agree that support for a Jamma interface board would be a REALLY great thing. At that point we could put MiSTer in an arcade cabinet and use real arcade sticks, buttons, etc.

Re: Buy / Sell MiSTer Expansion Boards

Shipping cost depends where you live. It's $47 for me to receive a batch of boards! That should be a big batch fir this price. No, that is the cost of a .5Kg package to the U.S. via DHL. I have 100 of the slim version RAM boards now, and I am building them currently. Unfortunately, the trimming mac...

Is there any information on how to use this core? Do the ROMs need any certain extension? Do they go in the same folder as the core itself? Are there any limitations?

I always liked the Vectrex! Thanks!

Re: DE-10 nano temperature issues

Using the heatsink and fan I sell, the max temperature is ~35C (dead center of the bottom of the board) and the CPU/heatsink is ~26C, and that is after 8 hours of being on. I don't think heat is every going to be an issue when you using the proper heat sink and fan.

Re: SDRAM board

The SDRAM is always high once the board is powered up? Maybe there is some type of impedance issue that is resolved with a 4.7K resistor to ground on CKE (pin 37)? This was something that Mike mentioned that Replay hardware does (and it does according to the schematic), so I decided to try it.
