Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

HI, Are you using wifi with the Pi3 onboard wifi or with an external dongle? BeePi doesn't have every chipset for wifi installed. If the boot hangs on, it's because network is not setup correctly. Normally after a few minutes it will boot, but this is not a normal feature, it's a bug. I have publish...

Re: CT60e and 68060 - do I need a cooling fan?

Yes it could work with a simple heatsink, depending of the capacity of your heatsink, the version of your 68060 (the latest doesn't heat so much) and the frequency you want to drive your CT60e. In other words, if you want to run above 60 MHz, a fan is more than recommended. To attached it, you can u...

Re: Gemulator and disk images

If you have properly installed Driver.sys on the First partition of your disk image, then I guess that there is a setup in Gemulator to boot on this disk image instead of the GEMDOS folder.
Sorry I can't help more, the Gemulator version I used was the DOS one, and it was 20 years ago :-/

Re: Gemulator and disk images

I have used Gemulator in the old time on a Pentium 2 and it was running really well. I had TOS 1.04, Magic and Mint KGMD running fine on it. Most of Gem productivity apps were running fine too, and serial and paralell ports were correctly emulated. I remember connecting to BBS with it. No games nor ...

Re: Atari on home network

You have several options. - Setup a SAMBA or NFS server on your TT (use sparemint packages) and share your drives - set your PC as NFS server, and install mint NFS client on your TT (samba client works in read only with recent servers). Should work also with Magic if you use MagicNet - setup your TT...

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

I am glad that you found Beekey useful. Sorry for not answering, but I am presently in a very busy personal and professional time, so I have left aside my Atari projects for a while. Regarding your issue, conholio is an unfinished project and I am not surprised that it doesn't work well. You'd bette...

No I did not. How to do that?

In NVDI printer cpx, set the color output to 16M colors instead of 8 or B&W. it's in the first setup page together with resolution

Re: NVDI 5 - missing black/grey on 16M colours printout

Is your printer a DJ 1200 or a more recent model? Try a different Driver. Some are using RLE compression, other different flavor of PCL and it is not always working well with new printer or similar model. Generally I have reasonable results with DJ550C NVDI Driver when printing on my Laserjet color,...

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

Welcome and thank you for testing Beekey.
USB2 pendrive are vers slow, explaining the long time to create the persistence but also to copy all the files which are modified, especially the disk images. Second boot should be faster.
USB3 pen drive are a better solution for a constant use.

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

Thank you Christos, very nice tip. It's going to simplify a lot wifi setup.
If you haven't seen it, there is an update on page 4 of this thread which accelerate the boot time too.
It is also explained in this thread : viewtopic.php?f=8&t=31104

Enjoy!

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

MyAes is already installed and setup in Beekey and Beepi
There is an app, that you can access with right click/ setup, to switch from xaaes to myaes
You'll just have to change myaes files with the new ones to do the update.

Even on a P150, Cubase VST a turtle beach sound card and win95 audio was lagging compared to Falcon.
How come on a 386 ?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the info.
What is it actually? Is it a multi computer emulator or an st emulator running on different platforms?
What is the benefit compared to Hatari?

Dongle are specific to each version.
CAF 2 is basically Cubase 3 + audio.
In fact CAF was delivered with the manual of Cubas 3 + an addendum for audio functions.

Thanks Mikro, it works great on my CT60 Falcon : EasyAraMint is now fully functional on the CT60 :-)
I now have to dig my Firebee out of the boxes and test it.

In order to avoid guessing, these are pictures of Alanh board : http://www.philippeworld.net/ftp/Pictures/68K-PLCC-top.JPG http://www.philippeworld.net/ftp/Pictures/68K-PLCC-bottom.JPG It uses a male PLCC adapter, not crappy pins, and it's rock solid. The original 68k is moved on top and has plenty ...

Re: Solution for higher resolutions on STE?

A STE 68k bus adapter already exists and has been built buy Alanh (originally a memory expansion board). It's a daughter board which plugs on the square 68K of the STE, move the 68K Processor and gives a mega bus. I used one to adapt a H&N multiboard on my STE. See topic : http://www.atari-forum...

Re: Raspberry Pi as SCSI drive

I use Scsilink.xif from FreeMint 1.19.576, which was originally developed by Anodyne, with a nfs share on a Falcon + CT60e.
I got the same speed on a stock Falcon, so the CT60e don't help.
I saw some higher bench with a TT, but the bus is also faster.

Re: Raspberry Pi as SCSI drive

Very interesting indeed. Though for Ethernet I won't expect anything fast. I have a DaynaPort SCSI-LINK interface and it tops at 50 KB/s on my Falcon, The bottle neck is the Falcon I guess.

Re: CT60e impossible to flash

ABE & SRD V7 are the latest version developed, which normally work with CT60TOS.BIN 2.01 & 2.02.
So if it doesn't boot with my CTPCI, I guess that I have to update its firmware to CTPCI_1M which is also the latest.
I'll let you know when I'll receive the JTAG cable.
