I have a Blitter in my STFM! The previous versions of your mod worked - I just wasn't sure if you had started using other features that are STe only (eg. Palette differences?)

Great progress, but guessing I won't be able to play this now on the STFM (my main ST machine)?

Very impressive! It runs too fast in places now lol! Re: Amiga 600 Vampire 2 accelerator board

Whilst this sounds exciting I honestly don't think there will be much benefit beyond say 32Mhz from one of Exxos mods. Unless they stick fast ROM and fast RAM etc on the board. There's a theoretical maximum benefit based on the shifter and the way many games wait for vblank etc as many have posted a...

If you program upper and lower the same, no need to worry about A15.

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

Having had first hand experience of the 16Mhz booster, I can say that almost all of the games I've played work fine, there were only 2 that I had issues with - Operation Wolf, some timing issue related to the music I think, because if you switch it to 8Mhz, let the intro play and after the guy finis...

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

How come integer division is only coming out at 148% at 33Mhz? I swear mines faster than that at 16Mhz? Yes, just checked it came out close to 200% which is what you would expect with the integer division. It should now be ~400%, not 148%? EDIT: I think you've got your images mixed up or something? ...

Re: STE BOOSTER V1 32MHZ & FAST-TOS

Great news! You mentioned its a solder in mod, does that mean you've got to desolder the CPU socket, and this board solders into the position of the old socket? Presumably the TOS board is required for the faster ROM access, so it's not an option but required if you want the v1.5 in your STE?

Re: B/W output on 2600

My first thought is faulty color / b&w switch. Beyond that, possibly bad caps in modulator, or perhaps it's NTSC and your connecting to a PAL TV or something?

Re: Wrong colours

Get an RGB lead, if that works then the fault is most probably the MC1377P. Quite common but happens more in Amiga modulators rather than the ST.

Actually, looking at your photo it appears red and green are switched! Maybe shifter? Could still be the MC1377P.

It could also be your PSU, I would be tempted to completely recap the PSU first. But if you've got the Sony model with SMD caps, they are bound to need swapping out.

Re: 4MB Upgrade & 16MHz Booster progress

I think with the ST there comes a point of diminished returns anyway, ie. unless there's some really long number of cycle opcode, or unless its using ALT RAM, I guess there will be a limit to whats possible. I just found it amazing that a 16Mhz chip can run really well at 32Mhz. I wouldn't be surpri...

Re: 4MB Upgrade & 16MHz Booster progress

Out of interest, have you tested to see how fast these 68020 can go? I've just overclocked the one on the my Amiga accelerator up to 32Mhz (from 27Mhz that I've used it at for a few years), and it's rock solid doesn't get very warm at all. The interesting thing is the chip is marked 16Mhz... It seem...
