Re: Tempest 4000 on PC....oh dear

Bought Tempest 4000 on PC yesterday (on the day of release), sad to say it's not what I was hoping for, lack of control choices and general shoddy conversion to PC platform. What on Earth are you talking about? Both txk and t4k were developed on PC so it's not a conversion! I did read though that i...

Tempest 4000 on PC....oh dear

Bought Tempest 4000 on PC yesterday (on the day of release), sad to say it's not what I was hoping for, lack of control choices and general shoddy conversion to PC platform. Subsequently asked for a refund

Here's some of the reviews (less than 24 hours after release)

Can the login time limit be increased or be made indefinite?

I was logged in for less than 30 mins today and had to log back in again, didn't even close my tab.

Re: ‪Maplin Electronics in administration‬

After visiting a couple of maplin stores over the past few weeks it's easy to see their stock mis-management judging by the excess number of metal detectors and ladder benches each store seems to have. Woolworths was the same with ironing boards.

Re: Android MIDI input from Atari

The point would simply be an extra sound source, like anything that uses MIDI over USB. That's what I was thinking, I've never been any good at composing music but I did plug a keyboard into my ST back in the day to benefit from its bank of sounds when playing MIDI files (or games with MIDI music) ...

Android MIDI input from Atari

Plugged my new phone into my laptop this evening to transfer some files and discovered in its USB mode options there is a MIDI input option, so onto YouTube and I see it is indeed possible to plug a keyboard into an Android phone as shown below So in theory I should be able to plug my ST into the An...

Re: NetUSBee TOS driver

Beta testers report the driver working well on ST, Falcon 030, TT and Falcon CT63. The driver should be made public soon. USB storage transfer rates according to Xferrate: ST: 31 kb/s Falcon: 110 kb/s TT: 150 kb/s Falcon CT63: 300 kb/s The ST speed should be improved later. There may be a glitch on...

So after another conversation it seems there was no preference to code for the Amiga or Atari. He said the game was likely coded on a PC before being compiled for the different platforms. I asked him about the effect of piracy and copy protections they used, he said they were obviously concerned abo...

Wondered if the group has any questions that I can ask that may be helpful?
