Re: FlashFloppy vs HxC

FF firmware doesn't support PASTI/STX nor 11 Sector disk images. I have contacted its author and forwarded any info (mainly DrCoolZic's PDF) I had about these two problem, so it should be corrected. As I looked at the code the main problem was with sector gaps. I also have Gotek/FF as an external d...

Is a vanilla Gotek usable in a 1040STE (1.62 TOS) or does it need to be flashed with a custom FW?

Yes it will but it's better to flash the gotek with hxc or flash floppy firmware as it makes life a lot easier to load disk images.

Interested to know if anyone is using both of these on a gotek drive, and a comparison of their experiences so far.

Cheers

Re: HxC Slim mount for Atari ST

This is a great idea. Too bad I sold my HxC Slim just 2 weeks ago because I had no reasonable way to mount it in my STE. Would a version without Atari producting faceplate be possible? In such a case the HxC Slim could be fitted to non-Atari cases. Absolutely, it's already in the works, I'm just fi...

yeah, I hear ya, just wondering why after soo long this cannot be fixed? could not the data be migrated somewhere else? Or am I now the only one who needs it? Looking smooth :D

What are those glitchy horizontal lines that appear every now and again, will they be cleaned from the final release?

Thanks for this, I have a couple of issues that I will scan eventually, be good if others could look in their collections and see what they have too.

Re: New ST project - Pole Position arcade conversion

Also is there a reason why the gameplay structure doesn't follow the qualify then race format of the arcade? This version starts with the 'prepare to qualify' speech but takes you straight to the race as there are other cars on the first lap and the lap doesn't finish after 1 complete run of the ci...

It's so close to being spot on but I'm still a +1 for the wheel movement as it gives the feeling of speed. Re: The Atari ST (and others) and the Creative People

Personally if I didn't have the money to produce something in a second language that contained a good translation then I wouldn't do it for fear of poor feedback. And from the point of view of the consumer if ...
