Re: Steem LE

Interesting concept. I myself am a fan of 3.2 Boiler over the SSE version, and usually only use the SSE version if I require some feature that the original version does not support. This sounds like music to my ears :) Will download and check it out. Yep, exactly the same here. Steem Debugger 3.2 i...

Re: Steem LE

I myself am a fan of 3.2 Boiler over the SSE version interesting. what's the reason? One of the things I can recall quickly is that the behaviour of breaking on a code-breakpoint (move.b #0,$ffffc123) is different; something with one more or less instruction executed; amongst other things. But cons...

works fine on real hardware here too - colours are better than in STEEM as well :) Hey, that's cool! Thanks for trying it. Now it seems to work, I feel like I should do something with it! Is there anywhere e.g. I can upload it? Or a different forum here I should stick it on? create an account for y...

Re: Execution - SMFX demo - Sommarhack 2017

Nice ! "And the buzz goes on...", what do you mean exactly at the end of the demo ? Whats the fun in explaining things. Before you know it you're asking if there is any meaning to the intro scroller splitting and why there is a guy shitting on donald trump in the demo, amongst other thing...

Re: Ym stream dump support in steem

In fact, finding the official description for YM3 has become difficult. The page I linked is for YM6. There's a compressed version of YM3 (smaller files). Are the files output by Hatari compressed? The output files by hatari are not compressed. I will do some homework this weekend and post my findi...

Re: Ym stream dump support in steem

As far as I know, YM3 is the most basic standard, straight up mapping of the register values of the ym chip, without added snazz. (14 bytes per vbl).

Hatari outputs YM3 files.

Ym stream dump support in steem

I found out only recently that hatari has the feature of capturing the ym registers (sound output) and writing it to a ym file. Does steem have a similar feature? If not, could I be so bold as to do this feature request? Steem has a per frame step through capability, which would rock in combination ...

Re: software recommendation for Demo animation?

Im not sure if I get you right. But if you want to start from scratch, start learning ASM is a good thing to go with. As software to help you with, I would recommend DHS Falcon demosystem v15 by Evil / DHS for starters (http://dhs.nu/files.php?t=democreation) together with the ASM tutorials found on...

Re: STE - shifted bitplanes - urgent

Is it ocxaisionally during the same run. Or occaisionally over different executions?

If over different executions, doing an additional 50/60 switch at demo init time may fix it.

First off, the remark I made is referencing a demo made by Excellence in Art. If you have not seen it, I suggest you do. Now for the subject at hand; who decides what is a crew and what is not? What are the criteria, and who decides upon the criteria. Is the maker of the poster making the rules up,...

Highscores of your favourite game

Hi there guys, Im pretty sure this is not a new idea, but I find myself playing a few games on the atari every once in a while. I have a few favourite games, as well as trying out `new' old ones every now and then. I am wondering what the games are that you are playing, and if you keep track of your...
