Re: SLB 'devkit' ?

For that to work, the app needs at least to maintain some kind of reference counter. And that can also only been done by the app since the modules don't know about each other. I haven’t looked at any of the code / current design so could be completely wrong, but perhaps a potential solution to brea...

No thanks.

This choice helps the folks who want only the native things, but not those who want to read both. Per user preference if it’s easy to do, or script like this if not seem fine to me.

Re: Alternative to GPL license

It’s my understanding that, if you’re the original author of a whole project, I mean not using other works with a viral license such as GPL3 which binds you, then you are free to release the same project many times with different licenses. Yes, that is correct, authors can release works under multi...

Re: FX CAST Atari ST core

I have tinkered with the Atari ST stuff since they were released. I guess over the years you’ve forgotten a few things... TOS 1.00 was the original version, while later STFMs shipped with 1.02 and then 1.04. TOS 1.6 / 1.62 were the STE versions, TOS 2.05 / 2.06 were Mega STE versions. 2.06 was also...

Re: Doom for TT030.

However, I don't know whether Jaguar Doom level files are compatible with PC Doom, i.e. could one use same level files to get proper comparison between the engines. It's a while back but I recall Doug saying Jaguar WADs were slightly different to PC WAD format files and BadMooD kept compatibility w...

Re: Doom for TT030.

How does BadMooD even run so well on a stock Falcon? It's basically unplayable on any Amiga or Mac with a 68030 and it looks just as good as the 386 if not better. I'm still an Atari noob over here so forgive me. Eero essentially answered above. The two key things are that the Falcon's DSP is a ver...

IIRC Vampire v2 doesn't support Atari ST due to lack of signals like VPA,VMA and E needed by ST I guess there may be differences between the v2 and the v4 in this respect then. I'm fairly sure I can read the text "Vampire_4" on the board connected to Tuxie's ST in the photo just a few pos...

Yep, using the export works (I've successfully exported quite a lot of pages). Although that form allows adding page names via the categories you can also simply add the page titles into the edit box. Following the instructions here the AllPages special page you can get them fairly easily and I've c...

For the record, the article is not in the source page, I have to edit the article to see it in the edition textarea. I believe that is exactly what is meant - not the browser "view page source" which shows the HTML source of what you're seeing, but instead in the "view source" t...

Re: Atari ST (mist)core, STOS BASIC Game and joystick

Use an earlier tos version if you can or run the game through one of the STOS fixer tools - joystick (and mouse and a couple of other things) are done in a bad way in STOS and so don’t work on TOS versions available at the time it was released. The fixer tools can patch the binaries to make it work ...

The ROM port is essential for most MIDI based applications such as Steinberg Cubase or C-Lab Creator/Notator or Emagic Logic, because they all need a dongle to run. However isn't it true that the dongles also need cycle accurate timing? So presumably not likely to work with a 50mhz modern 68k cpu? ...

Re: Apollo Team announces developing of Vampire standalone version to run as AMIGA and ATARI ST

Would you call a project closed source just because an otherwise open source base would be compiled with a commercial compiler? If that would be the case, there wouldn't be any open source at all (since the initial compiler would have needed to be compiled with something ...). I don't do hardawre, ...
