Re: FS: Falcon Audio System

Hi there, Sorry for the delay in responding. I'm hoping to sell it as a full working unit at first, I think a lot of the additional boards have been taken from external units and soldered to the Falcon motherboard with ribbon cables etc. so may not be of much use if I stripped them out. There's a li...

FS: Falcon Audio System

Hi Folks, I've decided to let my Atari audio system go, I haven't been using it enough to justify having it around so it's time for it to go to a new home. It's essentially a Falcon with lots of audio extras neatly rackmounted in a (very deep) 2U case. It's got the following add-ons: - 14MB RAM expa...

Good luck though, you never know.

Thanks for the tip, hard to tell what a lot of stuff is worth these days! I'm open to a bit of negotiation on price...

Atari Clearout!

Hi, I've been doing a bit of spring cleaning and realised I've accumulated far too much Atari stuff, most of which I don't use anymore since getting a nice rackmounted Falcon with everything built in, so I thought I'd offer it all on here before resorting to eBay. I'm based in Manchester, UK and wou...

Re: SoundPool Audio Tracker

Thanks for the tips!Unfortunately I've only got a SPDIF interface so I've been routing things through my effects unit. Ideally I'd like a Jam8 or something similar but they're hard to come by these days. I've also got an old ADAT machine lying around somewhere, do you reckon I could use this and the...

Re: SoundPool Audio Tracker

Interesting. Maybe my email was lost in their spam. I'll have a look at those PRN files and see what I can do with them. It's a shame that I've found this only now, I really wanted to use AT for recording some demos the last few months (I have done one song but it was some work with AT), and I've d...

Re: SoundPool Audio Tracker

Hey, Thanks a lot for the replies. I emailed info(at)soundpool.de and got a response from Thomas Baumgartner within about an hour with v1.6 attached. I've got a copy of the manual but no scanner I'm afraid but I have found this which might help: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.sys.atari...

SoundPool Audio Tracker

Hi,

Has anyone got a copy of AudioTracker v1.66 or 2.01? I've got a dongle and v1.5 but it would be nice to have an updated version of the software. Version 2 seems to have been a non-official patch that you apply to v1.66?

If anyone could help out it would be greatly appreciated :D

OK, apologies for the terrible photo but I got it open and found a pair of HOs (sorry, couldn't resist  )
I presume it's the smaller chip on the left you're after?

Re: Cubase Audio CBX and Yamaha CBX

OK, I didn't get a chance to open it up but managed to fire up Cubase quickly and the CBX settings window shows V1.20A which I'm guessing is the firmware version. Maybe the A stands for Atari? How many chips is the firmware on so I'll know what to look for when I open it up?

Re: Cubase Audio CBX and Yamaha CBX

@INSPECTOR77 Hmmmm.... That's frustrating that you can get the Atari to recognise and format the drives but SHDI doesn't see them at all. Sorry for asking the obvious question but do you have the power supply for the DMA-SCSI adapter? I still think it may just be a matter of setting the jumpers/swit...

Re: Cubase Audio CBX and Yamaha CBX

I should have a chance to take a look tonight. I'm pretty sure Cubase tells you the firmware number when you bring up the CBX settings screen. If not then I'll open it up and have a look for you, if you've got the means to copy my ROMs then I've no problem loaning them to you, it'd be useful to have...

Re: Cubase Audio CBX and Yamaha CBX

Hmmm.. that's a real shame you guys can't get it working :( DaI, are you using the version of Cubase CBX that Shredder11 posted earlier on this thread? Seem strange that SHDI would recognise your hardware but not Cubase itself. Does it give you the 'Can't find CBX' error message when you start Cubas...

Sounds like the switches could be the answer! Might be for changing parity/termination etc.

Re: Cubase Audio CBX and Yamaha CBX

Oh, forgot to mention that the MIDI ports of the CBX should be connected to your Atari's MIDI ports and the HOST switch on the back of the CBX should be set to 'MIDI'

Re: Cubase Audio CBX and Yamaha CBX

I used the ICD drivers to format the drives and put SHDI.PRG in the AUTO folder on the drive/partition I boot from (usually C drive). When my Atari boots up from C drive it runs the ICD drivers and lists only the hard drives (and their partitions) on the screen, not the CBX. Then SHDI.PRG runs and s...

Re: Cubase Audio CBX and Yamaha CBX

I've been trying to get my CBX going this week too! I didn't have any success with my Mega 4 and two different SCSI adaptors but picked up a TT last week and finally got it going! I'm guessing it's down to the SCSI implementation, the Steinberg SCSI adapter should do the trick. As far as I'm aware t...

I've just dug out my Cubase box and it turns out I have one already, oops!

Thanks all the same. Might be interested in the CBX though, do you know if Cubase can access two of them simulataneously to get 8 track playback?

C-Lab Falcons

Hi, I'm been saving my pennies recently and I'm hoping to get a Falcon soon mainly for MIDI and Audio use. I've heard from a lot of people that for music the C-Lab models are the ones to go for. Firstly I want to know the difference between the Mk I and the Mk II, there seems to be some conflicting ...
