Steinberg Pro 24 needs a dongle to run.

The software alone is useless.

Re: Atari Portable

The cracked versions of most professional programs for musicians do not work reliably, for example Cubase v3 or Score, Notator, Logic ... In addition the cartridge port is used in the ST for all kinds of musical hardware accessories (SMPTE synchronization, audio recording, more MIDI ports, etc). Fo...

Re: Atari Portable

The ROM port is essential for most MIDI based applications such as Steinberg Cubase or C-Lab Creator/Notator or Emagic Logic, because they all need a dongle to run. The question springs to mind... why not use a cracked version and skip the dongle issue? Surely the legalities of using a 20 year old ...

Re: Atari Portable

One question of the cart port..... it may make more sense to include additional MIDI ports on the device if this is a concern and also the main use for the cart port. It may end up that the cart port determines how thick the device is, making it much more of a brick than is necessary. The ROM port ...

Hi I picked up an ST to refurbish for myself... it came with a load of stuff, some of which I have no idea what it is? So here is a link to the pics in Flickr https://flic.kr/s/aHskWAq6gL Obviously, the left picture is just about two MIDI cables, possibly an antenna/TV cable and a cable with 3.5 mm...

Re: VGA adapter with Blow Up and VGA/RGB switch

Good news! All monitor adapters have been been assembled and tested with the 40MHz and the 50MHz oscillators... and all adapters work as expected! :-) The 50MHz oscillator is the oscillator that is mounted in the socket on the adapter card by default. The 40MHz oscillator comes in a separate ESD ba...
