Re: STOS Dungeon Crawling

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. It will be intended to be in real time. The plan I have is that 50 vbls (i.e. 1 second) equals one "tick" and on every tick the game runs routines to decide the movement of each monster, any temporary effects or status effects, etc. It also will check the mon...

Re: STOS Dungeon Crawling

Very interesting project! Especially since I have been thinking of starting a similar project with a dungeon crawler! :) STOS seems to have no limits. Are you planning to have realtime events/game ticks, for example monsters moves on their own, doors closes on enemies when not visible on screen, pla...

Atari Midi to PC Windows

So I got a Midi2Usb cable working between my TT and PC (windows 7). What are my options now? :) I'm pretty impressed with the midi output from games (for example Ultima 3) into the PCs playback, almost like having a soundcard. Is there some special software that can handle this with different synth ...

Re: New program: "Serial Disk"

Yes COM4 is listed when I start without parameters. But I fear the problem is not the program but the usb2serial cable itself. Can anyone recommend a brand/model of usb2serial?

Re: New program: "Serial Disk"

Have anyone managed to get this running on TT -> PC (win7)? I have configured and started DRVIN.PRG and SCC.PRG from auto folder and then start STserialdisk.tos and then add new device M, when I double click on M: the busy bee appear but nothing else happends. The PC server is running without errors...

The scientist selection screen makes a super hard game a little less hard, but not much, escpecially since one scientist self destructs the ship

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Awesome project!

Anyhow, why not use the original ST versions music for the STE, it's pretty good actually for ST standards and then use the arcade versions sfx?
Then maybe the Falcon is able to playback more "advanced" music.

Strange since the game didn't have scrolling, must have been an easy port.
