Thank you

I don't have a CosmosEx myself but the solution I showed above allows usage of both an internal A/B and an external A/B at the same time (depending on how DS0/DS1 are passed through).

STE base clock is either 8.02 or 8.05 (NTSC models) though.

Samsung Multisync 940B - only high resolution. Saw a comment at another wiki that the 940BE worked with 15kHz so gave it a shot.

Yeah we couldn't have all that irony I guess.

Re: What hapened to atariforge? dev-docs moved.

Since the reason I saw this today was that I wanted to link to a file from Facebook, I also noticed that Facebook currently has a blanket ban on linking to ddns.net domains. Feel free to use the following domain instead: https://files.sync.wtf/www.dev-docs.org/ It's the exact same mirror, just using...

It was never my intention for my mirror to be made public, I made it just to prove a point. However, I guess it now has some actual use.

Re: 1040 STe not working, only displays a white screen

Can your monitor display whether the input signal is 60Hz or 50Hz? If 60, and it's a PAL machine, then your TOS chips might be bad.

Re: 260ST barn find

You have a memory upgrade there! :) Not fully populated either. That's great news (as I alluded to over at Reddit). edit: Yes. you got that right. The Atari talks Shugart, just over 14 pins in that external connector instead of 34. It's just wiring. http://info-coach.fr/atari/hardware/interfaces.php...

Re: 260ST barn find

Congratulations :) Your 260ST might or might not have a full TOS (operating system) including GEM (graphical user interface) - else it only has a boot rom which will load TOS from disk. You will be able to replace the boot rom chips with a full TOS if so. Regarding Shugart interface, how handy are y...

No, there's no need to emulate 68000/GLUE cycle exact tricks on an accelerator.

Re: [WANTED] Atari Falcon floppy drive

I made a quick visual comparison between my original Falcon drive and a HP-branded Epson 340 I have laying around and the HP-one is lighter grey than the Falcon drive. But I can't know whether that holds true for all the HP-drives or not, if you're really after the exact color ...

Re: [WANTED] Atari Falcon floppy drive

So that's an Epson 340*, same drive as used in Mega STE and TT but with the regular PC-front. It was also sold rebranded by HP (Hewlett Packard D2035-60011), and you should still be able to find them on ebay every now and then. /Troed *) Often the sticker says Epson 300, but that's just the common n...

Re: Mouse buttons come and go

yeah I've had an ST keyboard connected for a few hours now. It's difficult to know when the problem "should've" appeared but it does seem as if it's at least somewhere with the actual Falcon keyboard. So, tomorrow I'll reflow the soldering and check for cracks (as far as possible .. ). Nex...

Re: Mouse buttons come and go

At some point mouse buttons wear out. Maybe that's the issue? (That can cause weird issues, e.g. mouse buttons being pressed down too long, or generating extra clicks.) The two different mice of course work fine on all my other Ataris .. :) I could've mentioned that of course. Is it working with or...

Mouse buttons come and go

My Falcon is having a difficult relationship with its mouse buttons. This happens in both stock 030 mode and accelerated CT60e, and it happens both with a PeST connected PS/2 optical mouse as well as with a Smallymouse2 connected USB one. All of a sudden, mouse button presses stop registering. It th...

Re: Current purchasable USB Keyboard to Mega STe options

I have a vague memory that it's limited to 100mA, and the SmallyMouse2 needs some for itself so the mouse cannot use too much. I actually have a problem where the (wired) mouse I'm using suddenly doesn't register button presses (but movement works) on my Falcon for a while and then comes back. I thi...

ST pixels are not square - they're 0.9/1 (low resolution).
