Re: Whizzcat\Delta Force Protracker Replay Rout

It would be cool if Blades routine for octalyser was available (as used on obsession) so that you could have tracker and sound effect at same time. That would make a cool extension. I don't know if that was included in the archive he uploaded recently.

Re: YM output amplitude of volumes

Hextracker has two versions of PSG tables and they are included as files see docs https://dhs.nu/files.php?t=single&ID=135 There are other examples about. I think ggn has uploaded a few examples on github https://github.com/ggnkua/Atari_ST_Sources/ E.g. https://github.com/ggnkua/Atari_ST_Sources...

Re: Atari stE disk drive faulty. Repairman in uk?

Did you ever get this sorted? There are guides on how to swap them for a working one , some people sell modified pc ones on ebay to use in the ST. You don't need to be good at electronics really as it's two cables and a few screws. It takes more skill to modify it yourself. Most folk just swap them ...

Re: What to do with a somewhat busted SF314 drive?

I have got the electronics of my external drive working with a zaxon microgotek , which needed a newer flashfloppy firmware. I too fried a couple of USB sticks because I stupidly mixed uo a couple of the USB wires and tried using the Original dusty black PSU. One or other , or both contributed to th...

Re: Power Supply Centuriontech or Exxos

They seem be reasonably cheap too. I was watching a video of one being fitted to a mega ST and wondered if they fit in regular sandwich case. I was wondering how would these behave with regard to noise, interference extra peripherals etc? Seems like a good option?

Re: Disk Repair Tools ST

I used to sometimes use f-copy pro to copy a disk to another to fix errors , you can change the step rate to a slower one set retries etc, occasionally this seemed to help. It may also be worth trying a different drive as you may get lucky.

Re: Printing Codes

My vague recollection. Is that most printers defaulted to Epson compatible mode so it may be an idea to grab a scanned manual for an epson printer from around the time it was made, most listed the codes. As did compatible ones. I had an star lc10 and cannon bj10e which both had Epson compatible modes

Re: Turbochip - 7-channel YM+DMA replay

On my earlier comment about some chord / scale / mode stuff and circle of fifths there are some nice videos from many people e.g. https://youtu.be/d1aJ6HixSe0. My thinking is that you could have a prev / next note which would go up and down a scale which could be selected between a chosen one http:/...

I am looking forward to the updates!

A thing I would like to see in a tracker would be some advanced chord / scale / mode stuff making use of the circle of fifths to suggest complementary chords and notes.

I guess the real question is why do you want to? Are you trying to play them In another program? There are programs which can play mods which hextracker exports already.

I had a little play with it last week. I loaded up my old tristar modules. It doesn't seem to support samples yet? It seemed to strip out the speed from the original files but I managed to edit it to correct speed. I will have another shot the next time I have time.

Speaking of animals... I did learn one thing from that, cat urine is ultra corrosive... Yeah I had a mate at school who lost his C64 to a cat enjoying the heat from it...and then peeing on it I am trying to stop our cat destroying any Atari hardware :coffe: that is a special task reserved for my la...
