SDXC card 64 GB - support by HDDriver

Hi,
I wuold like to install in my Falcon 060 SD Card via IDE2SD adapter, I want to buy 64GB (e.g KINGSTON 64 GB SDXC)
Earlier I had 8 GB SDHC card.
The question is:
whether SDXC cards are supported by HDDriver ?
Does anyone use such an SDXC card ?

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Today, I also test USB mass storage, not all work properly, but Kingstom 8 GB and PQI 2GB is visible at the time of booting the computer eg as drive Q. When copying 2.5MB file from mass storage to disk partitions, it took about 28 sec. Do you have similar times?

Re: CTPCI and USB card

The memory protection test was to replicate a crash suffered by Wongck that finally was due to corruption in one of his partitions, so I don't need any special test with memory protection anymore. What about USB mouse and keyboard? Are they working ok? I have just tested USB mouse (working perffect...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Hi Kroll, great to read about your Falcon working again. Over the latest FreeMiNT official snapshot install the kernel in mint060_pcibios_2.zip. Then let's try first only the network card function, without and with memory protection so we can see if Wongck's crash can be replicated. Hi I have just ...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Thanks to David and others, the instructions are now plain simple: just download the latest snapshot (https://github.com/freemint/freemint.github.io/blob/master/builds/freemint/master/new/freemint-1-19-187-020.zip), rename mintxxx.prg in your AUTO folder, depack everything to C:, set desktop in xaa...

Great to hear that!! What was wrong??

Latz

Hi Latz,
Nothing serious, As I was talking with a friend who repaired it, only some small things improved on the 030 board, it was a problem with the falcon main board, not with the CT63

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

I have checked and it is the same (independent stoopfix.prg is before or after stoop.prg), but I suppose, seeing the behavior when I run Stoopfix, the next program after stoop.prg in the AUTO folder sets the resolution permanently and always starts up with 1024x768x32 bit (Xbios) in SET VIdeo in TOS...

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

HI, I think, that I found the cause of newdesk.inf problems on falcon with a external hard drive, it is not a problem with HDD, but with Stoop itself, I noticed that the newdesk.inf file can not have more than 8 KB, I can send two files, The difference is, one is OK, the other causes appear two bomb...

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

Exactly, 3.5" HDD take a power from ATX power suply, which also supplies CT63. So I guess there is a problem with powering the IDE2CF adapter from a 44 pin cable, that is why it does not work with the CF card but that is another problem, why does not it want to work STOOP with external HDD, I d...

I think this is other problem,
I am connecting this short 2.5 inch (16 cm) cable with the IDE2CF adapter directly to second falcon/CT63 and the CF card is not detected properly. In this Falcon/CT63 I used 2.5 to 3.5 inch adapter and connect the 3.5" hard drive

2 bombs = Drive Not Ready What type of "hard disk" and driver are you using? As I mentioned in the above post, I also tried to install on second falcon with the CT63, first started it in 030 mode. I use an external 3.5-inch IDE drive (WD 80GB) and here I have this problem with two bombs, ...

Thank you very much for the correct suggestion, I changed the CF and everything is OK, it confirms my earlier observations that this card is damaged, now I will try to test Stoop with CT63 :)

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release
