Re: A couple abandonware apps

I would like to ask about the program Arabesque 2, I find only about German version 1.00e from June 8, 1995, or anyone knows anything about the English ?

Re: Hades and Netsurf

I downloaded and checked the newest version, NetSurf-m68k-atari-mint-gcc-4233.zip but still the same, but there is only ns020.app, no version for the 000 processor.

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

I have checked and it is the same (independent stoopfix.prg is before or after stoop.prg), but I suppose, seeing the behavior when I run Stoopfix, the next program after stoop.prg in the AUTO folder sets the resolution permanently and always starts up with 1024x768x32 bit (Xbios) in SET VIdeo in TOS...

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

HI, I think, that I found the cause of newdesk.inf problems on falcon with a external hard drive, it is not a problem with HDD, but with Stoop itself, I noticed that the newdesk.inf file can not have more than 8 KB, I can send two files, The difference is, one is OK, the other causes appear two bomb...

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

Exactly, 3.5" HDD take a power from ATX power suply, which also supplies CT63. So I guess there is a problem with powering the IDE2CF adapter from a 44 pin cable, that is why it does not work with the CF card but that is another problem, why does not it want to work STOOP with external HDD, I d...

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

I think this is other problem,
I am connecting this short 2.5 inch (16 cm) cable with the IDE2CF adapter directly to second falcon/CT63 and the CF card is not detected properly. In this Falcon/CT63 I used 2.5 to 3.5 inch adapter and connect the 3.5" hard drive

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

In this falcon with CT63, I have problem with CF, it is not recognized in this computer, may be a problem with the power supply in 2.5 inch IDE connector.

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

2 bombs = Drive Not Ready What type of "hard disk" and driver are you using? As I mentioned in the above post, I also tried to install on second falcon with the CT63, first started it in 030 mode. I use an external 3.5-inch IDE drive (WD 80GB) and here I have this problem with two bombs, ...

Thank you very much for the correct suggestion, I changed the CF and everything is OK, it confirms my earlier observations that this card is damaged, now I will try to test Stoop with CT63 :)

I use it on IDE 2 Cf adapter and red 16 GB CF Kingstom Ultimate 266x, and HDdriver 9.10.
Maybe you are right, becuase I have a problem with this CF card with the newest Hddriver 10.02 and later. I can check with other CF card on this falcon

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

Hi all, I do not want to start a new thread, but I have a question to the users of this boot selector. I recently tried to install it on Falcon 030. For TOS I use various newdesk.inf files. All files with different names (for example: calamus.inf, papyrus.inf etc.) copied to a separate folder and se...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

No, that means we have a rather interesting problem to solve. ;-) (btw thanks for accepting the builds in such raw form, it saves me heaps of time) I'm attaching two of our well known friends, usb-5f968c56 (working one) and usb-1adba0e0 (not working one). This is for a) verifying I didn't make a st...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Most intriguing. Maybe you have discovered quite interesting bug in the m68000 library. Let's see what happens with this one. This is literally the same as 3f401cdb. Wow, it is working (look at photo), Photo-0075.jpg Does that mean we are close to solving a problem with mass storage in Netusbee ? :D

Re: CTPCI and USB card

I do not know if it's good or bad news. Unfortunately, none of the above works and is practically the same (see photo). No activated additional partitions and drive q:/ is not visible Photo-0073.jpg To be sure that nothing else happened, I copied again the last usb_3f401cdb.zip and this one works Wh...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Ektus:,
If I presume, we have the same European time :)
So I'm currently testing on NETUSbee, because I found out earlier with eg Freemint 1-19, did not read mass storage at all.

Re: CTPCI and USB card

That means I have to build all the remaining kernels for you. :) Anyway, this bugfix isn't as important as I thought because that file was later replaced with something completely different (its C counterpart) so it wouldn't help us anyway. I'll send you PM later today. OK, as soon as I read the e-...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

I've found an ancient USB 2.0 18-in-1 card reader by Hama that is recognized by TOS and only accepts small cards (up to 2GB or some such). It is slow (xferrate reports 140kb/s), but otherwise working to access TOS-compatible media under both MagiC and MiNT. More modern card readers as well as some ...

Exactly, I did as you said, and both versions storage.udd and storage_fixed.udd (after the first test storage.udd, delete one and change name from storage_fixed on storage.udd) work just as well, I can read mass storage (see photo) Photo-0071.jpg What does it mean for us ? Both versions behave exact...

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

I think your packet loss problem is something unrelated to the driver, more like a slightly incompatible hardware. I can imagine if the issue Ektus and Kroll are seeing gets fixed, you will still see lost packets. Thanks for your opinion on the incompatible hardware, I wanted a second option and no...
