Re: Modern OS-es, pros and contras, experiences with ..

My point was that people obsessed with conspirations claim often complete false things. I can not prove that some event happened differently. I was not there. This is exactly one thing that computers could improve if they implement and integrate better metadata (as e.g. Ted Nelson suggested)! OS sh...

When adding to it that old Pentium 2 needs more cycles for same code than some new CPU, it can mean by me only that C64 emulators were not ported so good. Although, it is not exactly clear what you mean under poor performance - are there some slowdowns in case of 100% speed (same speed as original ...

MagiC have it's own "ROM". How much MagiC relay on TOS?

OL is right here.

Why you insist of 68K compatible MMU (which one? 030, 040...?) in Apollo silicon when MiNT could be adopted to Apollo MMU?

problem with MM4 is that there is to much space on map - you are not confined so there is much less strategy in movement on map.

I like MM2 very much, especial graphics wise, but still MM3 is better.

MM4 and MM5 I never tried. My brothers said that they are terrible. (I did try MM4 and yes, it was terrible)

Would it be fair to say 2MB was not available to most STe owners in the 90s? I mean it was possible, but most people did not have it. Sure, most users even haven't had a HD only for playing purposes. So, in fact, it's not the common system requirement for this project but it shows that it's still p...

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Development would require a Cray computer in 90s :D Btw we have 4MB in STe in early 90s. We also have 2.5MB in ST in 80s but we use Atari for work. 4mb on professional machines used in companies, indeed. But the home user at this time had 512kb ST computers. you forgot how expensive was such an amo...
