Re: Do you think the limitation to RE-edit the messages in Atari-forum is appropriate?

Is there a "plugin" that will show history of each edited message?

I think that will solve the problem.

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

ARAnyM and Hatari does that just fine :) I don't bother with Windows-compatibility, I partition the SD-card (used with IDE->SD adapter, a lot less hassle than finding expensive CF-cards that works reliably with the Falcon) on the Atari, and if I need to access it on my PC I use ARAnyM or Hatari for...

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

I have 40-50 cm IDE cable in my Falcon :) and I did not have problem with CF card... I found this interesting CD to SD adapter: it accept two SD cards! https://www.kupujemprodajem.com/Foto/Foto-adapteri/CF-Compact-Flash-adapter-za-dve-2-Mikro-SD-memorijske-kartic-83094292-oglas.htm What do you think...

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

Joska talk about IDE to SD-card (I misspell "SD", now I edit my previous post).

and Joska, you also mention that it is hard to find CF-card that "works reliably with the Falcon". My Transcedent 8GB card works just fine... How this "reliability" affect data on CF-card?

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

Lot of interesting information here! :) So joska, you mention IDE to SD-card adapter. I just search it in aliexpress and there is like dozen different models. Can somebody recommend adapter that 100% works with Falcon? (preferably one that have SD slot accessible on edge of adapter) btw that Hatari ...

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

HDDRIVER can boot from a TOS&Windows-compatible partition. But : HDDRIVER cannot boot from a byte-swapped medium. Unfortunately, for IDE devices (such as a CF card) to be readable from a PC, it has to be byte-swapped. See the FAQ , entry: "Can TOS boot HDDRIVER from a TOS/Windows compatibl...

Re: HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

Thanks for detailed answer. To make it short: it is NOT possible to have one CF card to be compatible with Atari and PC at same time (and with multiple partitions) with HDDRiver? Yes, see above. This is "Best practize". I would not say it is a best practice but rather: ONLY possible soluti...

HDDRIVER and DOS/Windows partitions

Hi, so far I was using Petari harddisk driver: https://atari.8bitchip.info/pphdr.php It is superb! On Atari Falcon 030: - You can format ENTIRE CF-Card as TOS/DOS/Windows compatible. - Partition can be up to 512MB. - You can have 14 of them. - All of them can be bootable and read/write by Atari - Al...

OMG! What complications! Easiest way is to use Petari harddisk driver: https://atari.8bitchip.info/pphdr.php ! 1) On Atari Falcon 030: - You can format ENTIRE CF-Card as TOS/DOS/Windows compatible. - Partition can be up to 512MB. - You can have 14 of them. - All of them can be bootable and read/writ...

Re: zView 1.0.2 released

zDesk was never finished, and not even part of the archive that was originally open sourced. Also, there are at least 3 desktops already available as source (Teradesk, Thing, MagXDesk), so i don't see much point in reinventing the wheel there. Well... I was joking but: What Zorro demonstrate with z...

Authors of demoozo was pissoff by admins of pouet so they create their own site to be “better” then pouet and at the end they are same! Sorry but that's pure nonsense. We (Pouet) kindly donated our entire database to Demozoo as a starting point for their efforts. Furthermore, a whole bunch of staff...

Re: uip-tool

Very nice, indeed. I personally use a similar solution (same reasoning - faster dev cycle), mint.prg in AUTO + svethlana.xif + 4-line mint.cnf which sets up IP address and runs a small kind of ftp server. So I can use everything FreeMiNT has a driver for. Hi Mikro, can you share this files in singl...

Re: SV FW rev 10 and new Svethlana driver

Well Saulot integrated mint driver of svethlana in sqward uip-tool but he did not finish it since none of the debugging tools work reliably with supervidel/svethlana and mc68060... I would be super happy if uip-tool would work with svethlana. Uip tool is super easy to use, much better than e.g. ftp....
