Did you also *reset* the nvram to have some feasible values?

Re: Cacheable areas on Falcon?

I don't understand why are you so concerned about EA calculation on 060. It will be a magnitude faster than your immediate EA + SMC code.

Also, if it's called only 200 times per second, how simple move.l (a0)+,$ffff8800.w can be a speed bottleneck on 030?

Your best bet for an up to date distro is download the base from https://freemint.github.io/#snapshots and enhance with stuff from Thorsten's and Vincent's archives.

Re: Atari TT030 and system V

Seeing all this success I'm pretty happy that I had made those images public nearly exactly 9 years ago! Thanks to Richard for providing his image and Mark_G for sending me his hard disk (which I had shamefully ignored for two years before imaging it). Wouldn't have imagined so much done with it. Le...

Xerus wrote:How many versions have there been between 1.3 and 1.10?

From what can I see there was 1.10 imported into the freemint cvs. So hard to say. The author's website mentions its source code already as in "mint cvs" therefore there aren't any even for 1.3 version.

It works for me on my mac, although samples have a bit of a snap/pop at the end.

Actually you don't need this anymore if using a fairly recent EmuTOS.

WANTED: 260/520/1040 ST/STM

Why not to try it here... I'm looking for the basic model, no built-in floppy or PSU. 520 ST+ model is also acceptable. No accessories needed, just the computer.

Hi Frank, why not to put the project on github, that way it's easy to help you out with features / bugfixes / code review.

Re: Magic mac open sourced

It would be great if MagiC was open sourced, although not very likely based on his old statements: Regarding open source: As long as I am maintaining MagicMacX, MagiC will not going to be open source. Further, it is unlikely to become open source later, because the source code is nearly 100% assemb...

I've asked him just recently and he didn't confirm any rumours about inability to access his source code -- he just has "too many media and too many archives and too many years ago". He said he's going to take a look, so ... fingers crossed.

Re: DRVIN (replaces Fpatch2)

Yeah, it's DRVIN from the HSMODEM package. However I wouldn't be 100% sure it replaces FPATCH2. From FPATCH2's documentation: This little patch fixes two problems in the Falcon BIOS (TOS 4.00-4.04) (1) Sound is not initialized properly. (2) Bconmap() doesn't work. To use it, copy FPATCH2.PRG to your...

Re: Noobs use C, real programmers use Basic

I never got used to heavy C++ OO programming and find thinking like the machine (i.e. Assembler) easier! Well, let's talk about this when your assembly code reaches, say, 15 000 lines of code and more. There's a hard limit after which you simply loose control. That is what makes structured / OOP / ...

Re: A year later

1. Wait, wha... do you realise you're talking about a device for the ST/E line of computers wanting to play a game for the 8-bit Atari? 2. Yes, you need either format it as a normal Atari disk (using HD Driver from Uwe Seimet for instance) or use it in so called translated mode where it reads Window...
