Re: CT60e impossible to flash

I guess you can ask Willy, both (5 & 7) are OK to have for plain CT60e. You can find both here: https://mikrosk.github.io/ct60tos/CT60/ ... update.htm

It may be shocking news for you but not all developers have the CTPCI to test. And when I say not all, I mean zero.

Not sure what you mean but if Ektus tests the new kernel and will be willing to try a few things then yes, the fix would get into 1.19.

Thanks for confirmation, jury. I could have sworn that I updated it even to FW11 so it was rather shocking to realise this.

FW11 update app

Hi there,

I was wondering, any chance to get the nice GEM update app also for FW11?

Btw, is it possible that I had a SuperVidel with 005 firmware? The FW10 app told me so. When updated (with built-in FW), power cycled and ran again, I indeed saw 010 version.

Maybe because FreeMiNT developers use the mailing list for communication. :-)

Anyway, if you happen to give it a shot, I'll happily help you debug the issue.

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

I had to use a specific version of MiNT, too, namely a daily build of 0.17 from back then. Any other version (at the time, 0.18) wouldn't work. I don't know what changes there are or if it's compiler related or whatever, but that's all I can say on the topic. Man, you should report issues like this...

Greenious ;-) Actually this is the second time she proved herself very Atari-supportive, on her first flight she brought me a CosmosEx (again the pun... ;-)). It's always fun to direct someone to dig in your boxes via super-crappy skype call where whole SuperVidel looks like 10 huge pixels. ;-)

Re: [SOLVED] CT60e + SuperVidel = non-working CT60e

IMG_20170516_191400.jpg How is the saying, fortune favours the bold? ;-) I had to remove the J7 jumper after all else I got exceptions (visible only on Videl output :)). So far I haven't tried more than 66.6 MHz. So I'm going to purchase the DVI-I splitter after all, having dual screen on my Atari ...

Re: [SOLVED] CT60e + SuperVidel = non-working CT60e

OK, this whole issue just doesn't make sense. I've fixed (?) it by the following: - upgrade to 1.04a -- I could run PARCP, copy some TOS images - downgrade to 1.03a -- works - upgrade to 1.03b -- works - I think here I changed CTCM frequency to 70 MHz - upgrade to 1.03c -- works - upgrade to 1.03d -...

Re: CT60e + SuperVidel = non-working CT60e

Hmm... when I disable every ACC and AUTO app, I can reach desktop, even run a few GEM apps (like flash060). What I can't run is XCONTROL however (neither as an ACC nor as APP) so I'm thinking to write a custom PRG to set some CT60 settings, I'd assume CPU frequency being set to some silly value but ...

Re: CT60e + SuperVidel = non-working CT60e

OK, now the issue got ever stranger. I got this idea to try different CT60 TOS versions. 1.03d behaves as described above. 2.01 = just black screen and now wait for this, 1.04 boots !!! It ends up with a bus error (as expected -- 1.04 doesn't work well without a CTPCI) but when booted with CONTROL, ...

[SOLVED] CT60e + SuperVidel = non-working CT60e

I don't know why I have such bad luck in Australia when it comes to CT60 but here we go again. Few days ago my girlfriend brought me my SuperVidel + Svethlana from Slovakia so you can imagine my excitement to try it out, I even started looking for DVI splitters and whatnot. So... I put the SV on the...

Re: CT60e impossible to flash

Hmm, in that case something funky is going on, maybe detection of the CTCM went crazy, hard to say (again: closed source). It's true I have a CT60, CT63 and CT60e but the former two are 15 000 km away. :) To be honest I haven't tried to flash anything yet but I remember a thread with Willy who said ...

Re: CT60e impossible to flash

Let's not jump into quick conclusions, CT60e201.bin has exactly the same set of fixes as 1.03d. I think I know what's Philippe's problem -- I bet you don't upload drivers.hex from tos_drivers.lzh. As stated in 2.01's readme.txt : - ct60tos.bin has boot + tos404 + atari diag. - boot.hex is just the b...

Re: CT60e impossible to flash

I have tried also TOS 1.04-pm which works. So it seems that none of TOS above 2.xx works on my setup. Strange. Have I forgotten something. Any clue? Unfortunately, since 1.04 is the last fully open sourced version we can only speculate what Didier's code is doing in 2.xx. The ACP guys have the (mor...

Well, assuming you're doing this with the CT60e, I'd try flash060.prg from that the CT60e package.

Re: SCSI ZIP after ct60e not working

I wish I could give you a definite answer. :-) Clock patches, even the latest/most stable one, are still kind of black magic. What I would try is grounding the SDMA pin as in 4.) and if that doesn't help (really hard to say -- R. Czuba says you shouldn't remove the resistors but IMHO this doesn't ma...
