The underwarer world (World 3) of Fire & Ice has music that sounds very definitely aquatic, to me.

Re: SAM Coupe core for MiST

Can someone validate something for me before I post another issue on the MiST Sam Coupé Github? Download Fred 82: http://www.worldofsam.org/node/659 Insert the disk image to the virtual MiST Sam Coupé drive. Boot the disk (is automatic from the startup screen, or press F9). Press A for the Editorial...

Re: Automation 308v2

Hi, After all those server moves and links updating using "creative" methods, that link on the news site was dead. I updated the link and you can download the menu here . Thanks! I've not played Tower of Babel before. It's an interesting game that I'd like to put a little more time into.

Automation 308v2

Sorry for the post just to ask for something. :/ Does anyone have a copy of Automation 308v2 that they'd be willing to send my way? I could swear I snagged it from Dbug's site back when they rereleased this menu, but it's not on any of my drives. I suspect I lost it in a hard drive crash a few years...

Re: Forcing 50hz Refresh Rate

Do you see under Steven Seagal's name, where it says "Atari God"? I can confirm this to be true, as he has furnished me with a Steem beta, and this function does indeed work as advertised. I can now play ST games and Demos in 50hz, just as nature intended. This feature will be available in...

Re: Forcing 50hz Refresh Rate

The feature wasn't in the source, there was trouble at sourceforge yesterday. We could soon have a beta (dev, whatever) folder on sourceforge with the various builds and date of upload, up to people to check there when they're interested. To tell the truth I haven't been satisfied by public or priv...

Re: Forcing 50hz Refresh Rate

Thank you! It's available now? If so, I'll give it a whirl later today. Edit: Let me clarify. When you say "Tell us if it works", is it something I can test today, or do you mean I should test it in 3.9.1 at the end of the month? Edit 2: Okay, I couldn't find anywhere to download dev build...

Forcing 50hz Refresh Rate

Hello -- A feature I'd very much like would be to force a resolution/refresh rate when running Steem SSE full screen. My monitor doesn't advertise it, but can display 1680 x 1050 @ 50hz if I force that resolution using the Nvidia control panel. If I then run Steem with Vsync enabled, everything then...

Re: Giana Sisters STE - New Game!

This is INCREDIBLE!

How incredible?

Well, I've never actually liked the Giana Sisters before, and I do now.

Awesome job. (Even if trying to save my high scores to a virtual hard drive in Hatari did cause my Mac to freeze).

Ahh, Frontier. That damned game ate about 18 months of my life. There's a system somewhere where Gold is illegal, I believe. As I recall, buying it on the black market there is extremely profitable, because of an overflow error, the price is actually negative and they'll pay you to haul it away... A...

It also proves once again that Americans need things dumbed down for them to understand. (Like 'Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone' - apparently most Americans didn't know what a philosopher was). Re: Anyone else love Lords of Chaos?

Also, does anyone know of a level editor?? JK I don't think there's one commercially available but I have had some success with editing files on the in-game save disks (20 wizards and 2 games, iirc) using a hex editor like Ultra Edit. It's quite easy really once you know the memory addresses that t...

Hi Guys Snapshots may at first glance seem a good idea but there is one major problem: 90% of games will need to load data from floppies at some point or another in the process of playing the game. Of course some do load completly into memory but snapshots are not a solution for GamebaseST since th...

Its a nice idea in pronciple but yes its not really practical or the idea behind GBST. Snapshots are not meant to be used that way, they are not compatable between emulators generally. And of course there's no guarantee that the snapshot format won't change between emulator versions. And of course the trainer options would not be available via a snapshot unless you took the snapshot ...
