Re: A good place for CF card on Falcon?

I don't have a permanent place for retro computers and need to unpack them when use them, so it isn't a problem that I need to lift the machine. As for cartridge port, as I said, I don't have anything for it. I'll maybe try 1s1's solution if I acquire something that goes into cartridge port (current...

A good place for CF card on Falcon?

I was looking how to place a CF adapter inside Falcon, and to be able to access the card from the outside, without too much damage to the Falcon itself, and this is the best I could do. I had to cut a 1-2mm off the IDE cable connector top (there is enough plastic left to still be sturdy), and I had ...

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Just tried it on STE with SatanDisk and ppera's HD driver and demo run is going nicely (with glitches mentioned before)... I tried to play (I know it isn't finished, just wanted to try), but wasn't unable to "insert coin" :) Pressing fire in both joystick ports didn't do anything for me (a...

Dots on screen

The machine I have modified had a problem with displaying black dots on Atari desktop while moving the mouse (before I started to modify it). Here is how its desktop looks like after driving a mouse for a while: IMG_20140415_165806.jpg When i bought it, I found that it had a 1MB piggyback memory exp...

Re: HxC inside 520ST (not 520STF!)

Here it is, the finished machine: ST3.jpg A mobile telephone joystick is used for navigation, it is connected to HxC buttons internally. On the back, there are added S-Video and Composite video outputs, SD card slot and two Audio outputs: ST2.jpg A friend of mine has made me a RGB-to-S-Video convert...

Re: HxC inside 520ST (not 520STF!)

I intend to take it very slowly, and to consult my friend who is much better with soldering than me. I will post pictures when I'm finished. Thanks again for advices! Atari-Forum is a great community :)

Re: HxC inside 520ST (not 520STF!)

Check my site for ideas: http://www.septicsurgeon.net/Hardware_Mods/Entries/2011/9/6_Case_for_HxC_Floppy_Emulator_%28USB_version%29.html That is an very nice external solution! If I understood correctly, you have directly connected pins on HxC to pins on external floppy connector on Atari ST, no ad...

HxC inside 520ST (not 520STF!)

I have bought a 520ST (model without an internal floppy) with internal 512K upgrade (total 1MB) and I would like to connect HxC internally. This machine doesn't have an internal floppy connector. Is it possible to connect HxC just by making a cable that is soldered to external floppy connector conta...
