Re: Rogue

I've now resurrected the faulty Mastertronic release with (hopefully correct) explanation, and also updated Brume's non-modified dump for the Epyx release.

Really great research everyone! I'm really impressed of the depth of your knowledge guys, thousand thanks

Re: Rogue

Nice. But I would say that your wording on the Atarimania record is not accurate and it might be a bit misleading. It is not that the dump requires TOS 1.0, that suggests there is a problem with the dump. It is the game, or at least that version of the game, that requires TOS 1.0 The note on the Ma...

Re: Rogue

Short answer: Bad protection implementation, it needs TOS 1.0 Will elaborate later, but the original image at Atarimania seems good. Didn't test the others yet, but probably they are ok. Tested with TOS 1.0 US and 512K RAM. But probably runs ok with any TOS 1.0 and with 1MB RAM as well. Will elabor...

Hi, is it possible to post them to Finland? All the material goes for Atarimania ST preservation project (so not for resale or anything like that). I'll pay the postage ofcourse :)

Re: Rogue

I'm currently out of home. Will check it next week. In the meantime, if somebody has a Pasti STX image made directly on a real ST (not converted from RAW images), it might be helpful. As far as i know this one is made with real ST in 2010/2011. Kryoflux + SuperCard Pro dumps are here: http://atari-...

Looks awesome as 8-bit is a nice sidehobby besides ST. I'm dreaming that one day there would be an ST version too by someone.

Pledged :)

Rogue

Hi, it was reported that our dump of Rogue has failed the copy protection. Anyone with SuperCard Pro or Kryoflux who could try to reproduce the dump? The version made with Pasti (or unsuccesful settings of its preferences) seems not to handle the protection correctly. From Mobygames: Copy protection...

Re: STE Sound Volume Adjustment

Maybe an optional fix? Last night when kids were sleeping and i was testing stuff i woke them up because i forgot to put the volume down after testing some low noise STe stuff. So the glorious chipmusic filled the entire house, soon with two "extra voices", at 1.30am  I know, my error...

Could there be a seperate volumeslider for STe sound similar way to the disk drive sound slider? The sound level is very quiet compared to STf sound and music.

Re: Req : Deluxe Paint ST in 3 disks

Well done. Another successful preservation. Will you share the STX dumps you have created? Atarimania would gladly update their site with it: http://www.atarimania.com/utility-atari-st-n-vision_31380.html I've already sent N-Vision and Music Construction Set to Marko (AM) and OIivier (AL). Doesn't ...

Re: Atarimania News

Not sure where to post this; but Atarimania recently updated Colossus Chess 4.1 with a new dump but the webpage still list this as MISSING. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-colossus-chess-41_1137.html It seems the 8bit admin forgot to upload the dump while updating the page. Re: Problems getting R-Type deluxe running on real hardware

I just recently bought 4MB of RAM for my STE 1.62 (Swedish TOS). I am using the disks from Atarimania. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this working? I also tried to run the HD installable version from my USB Unicorn. Doesn't work either, it stops at the same point; the screen fades to black (af...

Here's the Dpaint if it's still needed. Imaged from an original retail release.

Paintworks is an updated version of N-Vision when Activision started marketing it in late 1986.

Re: BMX Simulator

Hi, neither BMX Simulator 2 or Professional BMX Simulator for ST were never in development according to the "Story of Oliver Twins" book. It was mentioned in Codemasters timeline for the three major 8-bit systems only. It was very common to have a lot of C64 musics converted to the ST By M...
