Re: Atari ST Demoscene Book - this Year on Kickstarter

Looks promising, can't wait.

By the way, i saw on DHS that another small book covering the st scene is available: http://www.blurb.com/b/6940976-the-a-to ... -demoscene

Looks good too, as an overview of the scene.

Wow, thanks for the trip into the memory lane. I will try to translate some of the articles so that you get a better idea of what foolish people in their 20s might have said back then :)

Amazing graphics

Check out this new demo : http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=59066

It has amazing graphics in it, using rasters slipts and interrupts. Easily some of the best graphics ive seen so far on ST!

Btw Ray, whatever happened to "Shock Therapy" ? It's a shame it never materialized. Any chance of getting old screens released one day ?

Slideshows

Hi, I'm looking for good slideshows on the ST, not with spectrum pics converted from amiga or digitized pictures in general. I remember a spectrum slideshow in the ventura demo by OVR, does anyone know any other prods like that ?

Thanks mate, some of the pictures you sent me are quite impressive, better than "yeah I made a colorful gradient in the sky". Will send you the few pictures I have shortly. Again many thanks for that.

Neo Master IFF pictures

Hi, does anyone have any Neochrome master IFF pictures around ? I've been looking for some lately and all my efforts have been vain so far. I'd like to get my hands on pictures making use of the nice rasters functions (note that I'm looking for native IFF pics that I could load into Neo, not screenc...

Re: TCB

Time to revive the topic. 2009, 20 years after the release of the Cuddly demo, would be a nice year for TCB to release the sadly missing piece to their history. In order to motivate Tanis in hassling even more the coders I've decided to put here some articles (some of them I've posted here before) c...

Re: shadow of the beast ST (Mark mc cubbin here)

That's also why Mark never agreed with demo-scene people. Only poor demo coders would say that everything they do in demos would translate perfectly and easily into a game. It seems to me that only people who pretend to know demo or game coding would say that. One thing for sure is that Beas...

Actually, No second prize was coded by Chris Jungen while, indeed, Trex Warrior was masterminded by Michael Bittner. A funny (?) extract from the realtime article wrote during the STNICCC 90 : "I just had some food and I suddenly feel considerably better than I did about 1 hour ago. Just now I ...

Actually it seems to be a pretty tough one to find. I'm even starting to wonder if any proper hacked release of that software has ever been done (yeah i know it's highly unlikely but so far I've failed finding any version).

Which country had the best ST demo artists ?

I would say France. That country really had a lot of very talented people : Niko, Babar, Krazy Rex, Mic, ATM, C-rem, Goldfinger and so many others. Also i think they really had style and diversity. Your choice ?

Well, that's not really a hidden screen, just go on the ball next to the Transbeauce logo (where are all these credits). The screen is a vectorballs one. Alternatively you have a hidden screen located in an apparently unreachable area : there's a fake tile you can pass through. I've been quite impre...
