I DEFINATELY uploaded the code and commited it........ I have NO idea what happened, But it IS there now

@Sorgelig...... Really ??? NML had already said there was only a readme file in there....... completely unnecessary.

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi , I repository should be up now and i have created a readme which explains things a little. I expected to upload this after i had cleaned up the code and solved the CIA problems but things havnt worked out this way. I apologise for the dodgy coding but as explained before this was my first go at ...

Re: Can De1 core be ported to mist Coco 3

Of course the 6847 chip is superbly shockingly sh!t and the pal mode was a total cludge.......

They wedged in some lines to make our tvs accept the signal

I loved the dragon and the mist should support it without issue. But.....

Therea multiple issues to consider ....

Re: Can De1 core be ported to mist Coco 3

My first computer was a dragon 32 also.....

Seems to me you could code this up yourself or buy the guy a MIST.

How badly do you want the core ??

(i actually have a de1 i have never used so i may load this up)

Well, The increased block memory would certainly help many projects instead of trying to time-slice sdram accesses. :)

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi, if you read though this thread you can see a few games giving issues, I found this after i got the cart version of PANG running. I suspect the CIA as the problem but i am still looking into this, It could even be a timing issue. Time is scarce at the moment (using lunchtimes) but i havnt given u...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi. The cartridge support is far from finished . Please read the thread as whats happened. I am planning to add tap support after the crt *BUT* the bugs stopped me from continuing the crt at this time until i can trace the problem. Try pang or navy seals or frantic freddie............. If you do not...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi All, I rewrote the CIA and have just spent the last 5 hours trying to get it to talk to the core :( seems it refuses to accept a verilog file in place of the vhdl CIA..... anyway .... plan B :) gonna start going through original vhdl ( back to reading ). Small addition to the original CIA - I hav...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi, I just looked at the mega65 site and it does look interesting. The biggest attraction to this FPGA approach for me is learning how to program them....... My knowledge of C64/128 internals is not bad so to me the logical thing is to re-implement the CIA 'my way' so too speak (and trust me is prob...

Re: C64 core problems.....

It seems there is some very funky stuff happening with the timing of this core, mostly due to how its been designed..... 32mhz clock anyone ????? I am *attempting* a re-write on the CIA 6526 code in the hope it solves some of these issues (running before walking ???? lol). The CIA core as it stands ...

Re: C64 core problems.....

OK Chaps........ So after a bit of investigating it seems there is something *off* between vice and mist...... TIMERA on CIA #1 seems to be underflowing on MIST and not on AR6 / VICE..... TIMERB on CIA #1 seems seems to be stuck at 0 on mist and different on AR6 / VICE whilst running pang (true it w...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi All, As i have said previously this is a learning curve and i have a plan, 1541 is much later, I have purchased 1 if i need to do direct comparison but reading works well enough for now. I had a brief message with QUEST over at ZX-UNO who has been looking at this problem too and we are in agreeme...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Yea. I agree but working on the 1541 or anything else needs to wait until fundamental problems are eliminated to stop fighting a war on 2 fronts :) I have however just purchased a mint 1541-II from iretrovolver and a couple of cheap logic analysers from zbay for (much) later on :) At some point im g...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi, As this problem is on the ZX-Uno too im confident it is a core problem and not a mist problem. As the majority of software works this is definitely an obscure bug. JIFFYDOS does indeed foul some demos and DEFINITELY does not work with tape as the turbo loader code resides in the tape code area I...

Re: C64 core problems.....

What a total pilchard - Mixed up my 6526 with 6522 *facepalm* Anywhoooooo, MIKEJ had indeed updated the 6522 code and i just compiled it into the C64 core - Need to test but so far no ill effects :D (at least when i get to the 1541 it should have a little bugfix already :O ) Im still thinking that t...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi, The FPGA64 author Peter Wendrich (pwsoft@syntiac.com) I know its a longshot but worth a try as its closed but actively developed for the Turbo Chameleon. Re: C64 core problems.....

Hi All, Now back from holiday, I have emailed the cores original author as maybe he has corrected this already. Who knows maybe we can get lucky and find this needle in haystack. Google sheet looks good, at least i can look for the commonality between games now, But, Please keep adding new ones. I h...
