Re: Dead F030 count

A couple of years ago. Repairability is unknown. The ct63 works though. Ajax chip exploded. So you been without a Falcon for a few years? The Ajax chip can be easily changed out, i am wondering why would connecting your ct63 wrong attack your Ajax chip?, i would asume it would hit the power rail. S...

Re: Black screen at power up

Oh no! Cali your Falcon/Ct60 not working? A few days ago my falcon/ct60 was giving me issues, it was randomly fatally crashing. So what i did i lifted the ct60 and sat it down on connectors, i removed memory module clean the contacts and fired her up and no more fatal crashed!

Re: Dead F030 count

I bought a dead Falcon for $50. Fixed a broken trace and Voila. That doesn't really count though. :-) And yup, CT2 still running with 128MB and a 20gig Seagate HDD. I aswell bought a dead Falcon off ebay for $75 i repaired it installed a CT60 and put it backup on ebay and cashed out at $2,000, that...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

Sounds like the partitions are corrupt. Either not configured properly with the scsi2sd tool in Windows or with HD driver. Hmm, i'm thinking scsi2sd tools? I am certain i setup the partitions correctly under HDDriver, i have have successfully setup many partitions on my falcon with F32 with no prob...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

IIRC there is a keyword in Magix config file that you edit for vfat, look for something like the #vfat section and add "drives=<drive alphabet>". Been a long time since I messed with it :P but I seems to remember that it also worked for boot drive, unlike Mint. I will give it a shot wongck!

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

That's under MagiC (and MiNT). I haven't bothered with TOS and BigDOS, as I'm running MagiC most of the time. I've got card readers, too, and nowadays even MicroSD cards are available (and cheap) with 128GB and more. Regards Ektus. That's great! Ok i just installed Magic, and i have 7, 1gb partitio...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

Perhaps you could try inside Mint rather than TOS. Maybe there is a problem with bigdos. I personally don't use bigdos at all, I use 512mb partitions for TOS and I use large FAT32 partitions for Mint. I guess i am left with no choice, now what about with Magic? Am i able to have big partitions unde...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

No, PC has different partition schema, incompatibe to Atari (except if you use pera putnik driver). You shoud repartition again, make the 1 GB partitions slightly smaller than 1 GB. That's what I did, instead of 1024 MB (1GB) only 1000 MB. And take the latest version of BIGDOS. Ok i Tried your way ...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

Fat32 is unsupported for TOS. I suppose to make the 1 GB partitions a little bit smaller than 1 GB. Instead of 1024 MB only 1000 MB. I don't have other idea, this way it works for my two TT. Yes but he is using Bigdos. So they should show up. Correct mzry, now am i suppose to format the drive using...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

2 GB partition is too big for TT boot drive. TOS 3.06 only supports 512 MB partitions to boot from. Without any help (patching), also other partitions max size is 512 MB. But you can create additional data partitions which are 1 GB size. But they are only accessible if you put bigdos.prg in the aut...
