Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Hi, i found a problem with mikros modified rtl8139.xif driver and FreeMinT 1.18.0: Downloads from my UbuntuLinux PC (vsftpd ftp server and nfs server) are very fast and stable, about 2200 KB/sec (with Litchi, download of a 12 MB mp3 file). NFS "download" works good, too. Upload of small fi...

Re: eiffel 3

Hello Olivier, i am very sorry, you are right and i was wrong! The (somehow funny) explanation must be: Years ago i used the (wrong) eiffel.hyp schematic for my PCB layout, but the connectors i bought had a wrong pin numbering printed on them, too. So in the end everything was correct again :...

Re: eiffel 3

Hello Olivier, Is not exactly wrong. I have checked the pinout for only. I see what you mean (and it seems to be correct on your PCB layout). But no matter if male or female connectors, the pin numbers must be correct. On website (wrong): PIN 1 --> DATA PIN 3 --> GND PIN 4 --> Vcc PIN 5 --> CLK In e...

Re: eiffel 3

Hi, ATTENTION : The schematic on the webside is wrong!!! The pin assignments of the mini-DIN connectors for keyboard and mouse are "mirrored", means supply voltage Vcc is connected to pin 4 and ground is connected to pin 3. But this is wrong, pin 4 has to be ground and pin 3 has to be Vcc....

Re: CTPCI and USB card

EDIT: I see Latz gets the idea, yes. Testing must be done in a very precise and systematic manner, my time is also limited for this kind of fun so if you say something is not working, it must be 100% clear in what conditions else whole testing can be trashed. Thank you! :D I´m not a programmer but ...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

I replace mint060.prg in Auto folder but not working at all I can not start system, look at photo When you test different FreeMinT versions you always have to replace mint060.prg in auto folder AND xaloader.prg + xaaes060.km in /mint/1-*-*/xaaes folder. XaAES checks MinT kernel version at start! Latz

Hi,

Perhaps you should disable/remove the USB drivers that are not needed ->EtherNat? Unicorn?

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Hi Mikro, So if I understood you correctly, if you run pre_pcibios package, manual network is fine. If you do the same for post_pcibios, you can't get networking working at all. OK, that's a strong indicator then. Absolutely correct! I suggest we should focus on manual networking first, it seems lik...

Ok, i can confirm Krolls report:
- With pre_pcibios, both drivers (original and yours) work correct..
- With post_pcibios both driver don´t work (same behaviour as reported before)

Hi, ouf, you are fast! Although I own a CTPCI, my possibilities are very limited at this time: ⋅  it's somewhere in a closet ⋅  the closet is 15 000 km away ⋅  even if it weren't I don't have a network card like this These are definetly not the best conditions  An...

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Hi, today i tried CTPCI network card RTL8139 with current FreeMint (1-19-cur, 23.9.2017). - ATI Radeon 9250 and RealTek 8139 cards installed. - CT63/CTPCI flashed with latest ABE_V7F, SDR_V7D, CTPCI_1M; CT60TOS and network driver from unofficial TOSbeta10 package (see Ektus´ post above). - With TOS ...

Re: Why so hard to de-solder some parts?

Hi, you can use a hot air gun at low heat and carefully heat up the section of the board where you want to solder. If the board (especially the large ground planes) already has a temperature of ~50 degrees celsius it´t much easier to solder those ground pins. Perhaps you can test the best temperatur...

Hi,
check the file "choices" in netsurf folder, too.
It's the configuration file for NetSurf, you can edit it with a text editor.
