Re: My 1040 STF works, but doesn't?

As mentioned above. A composite cable will not work on an ST without the modulator. As you have an STF (no 'M'), that cable will do nothing for you. That's not to say this is your only problem, of course! But you can't move forward at all until you have an RGB cable.

Re: Porting SOTB to the Falcon

Steady on people! I've seen threads like this in the past and my view has always been that we all get our own kicks from our hobbies. While some people may not agree with the merits of other people's projects, that does not mean those projects have no merit. If you want to help Zarchos achieve the g...

This forum is focussed on the 16/32bit Atari machines, so knowledge about the Amstrad CPC will be limited.

I suggest you try posting this question on a CPC-specific forum.

Re: Lazy Sunday with Exxos Mods

Desoldering requires practice. You should always use fresh solder as the flux will help plus mixing fresh solder with old solder will allow all the solder to flow easier giving you a much better chance of getting it all out with the pump (especially those pesky ground pins). Also, I have tried the p...

Sinclair Spectrum +2 - very proud of it too. I remember getting the Action pack add on as a Birthday present one year. :)

It’s all been varying degrees of hits and misses since then! :D

For Sale: CT60e with Rev6 68060

Unused CT60e with a genuine rev6 68060 cpu ready to go into a Falcon. Bought this last year from Willy but have ended up selling a lot of my gear - sadly, this has to go too.

£400 incl P&P in UK / EU.

This passed me by last year for one reason and another, but wow!

If only I could get some inspiration from somewhere, I’d like to try and build something with it.

Ooooh now there’s a nice idea! Good job there - I may be tempted to have a go at this myself. Spent many years playing pop covers, never really considered trying to rearrange chip tunes for piano before.

Re: Atari 1040 STE video/graphics issues - help please!!!!

The most likely cause will be the monitor cable itself or the plug isn't pushed in firmly enough into the back of the ST. I've seen some instances where the cover around the plug fouls the casing of the ST and you need to wiggle a little to get it to go in. If it's not "that' simple, then check...

Re: I borked my 520ST Help?!?

The fact you're getting any display at all is good news. A lot has to work to even get any display up - so I'd say the 68000 itself is likely to be fine.

Re: Apollo Team announces developing of Vampire standalone version to run as AMIGA and ATARI ST

I think this thread has run its course. Those who actually want to contribute to such a project will find their own way of working with the Vampire team to make it real. Those who can't contribute but want the hardware will wait patiently with their cash in their fists. Those who don't care will jus...
