Hi! Quite interresting topic, here :) I have to disagree on fundamental grounds, though. ;) The high volume video games market pretty much started during the 70`s with Atari`s VCS console. There were tons and tons of games for it. And while it sure had it`s fair share of classics, there were many *r...
Hi fred, just to make things a bit easier upon the long term future of Atari emulation: There'll allways be the option to run an(y) emulator inside a VM or another emulator. As long as those are present, there won't be a serious prob. E.g.: I do run win Atari emulators inside of wine (Kubuntu/Linux)...
I do have Best's silicon caps in two ST's and they do better the tactile feedback a lot. They shouldn't be combined with their springs, however. They result in much to stiff key presses.

There you go, Calimero. ;) You first said: "for temperature in taskbar I use Aida32 (ex Everest) http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Sys ... AIDA.shtml" So I couldn't find it for sure. That seems to be a new feature of the current, commercial Aida 64. Thanks a lot for your help! B...
Hi, first of all, I`d be blown away by a *really* powerfull and still quiet Atari ST PC. The ones I got are both Atoms. Which is *very* nice, but not to strong, either ;) Full HD Video is ok, but new Games are rather not. As far as i remember, the 1040's ST main board just sat beneeth the keyboard a...
I found that AMD 6770 from MSI and PowerColor are only one that will fit in megafile case ( or ST case presumably ) :/ Hi! Rather not, I should think. The card and the board will probably collide with the keyboard, there. The space is really quite constricted. Even I had a headache or two. And I ju...
Hi! @Bit, @Fred: This whole fred is about a proven, simple and working ST keyboard conversion (hence an ST PC conversion follows), using just Joskas fast and simple micro controller (Arduino/Teensy) adapter. :coffe:  Fast, cheap and working. And much less work than any wire based solution. Just...
I just happen to find some cool stuff online. Take a look: http://svenart.de/gallery/atari_st2.jpg http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119154 http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?s=e64b5a53a21e8fe1103cb98a56a76586&t=110413 Have fun, AxelG @Joska: Any new Teensy Sketch? ;)
It works like a charm right now. I already played Cube (simple and straight forward GPL shooter) with my classic Atari VCS jostick. Connected to the ST`s joystick port 1.
Congrats ;) @Joska: Hi Joska, I tried to compile, but it failed;) Teensy Loader started. Arduino IDE started. ST_tastatur_USB loaded. Verify button klicked: HardwareSerial ST_kbd = HardwareSerial(); "ST_tastatur_USB:7: error: no matching function for call to 'HardwareSerial::HardwareSerial()' D...
Hi Joska, my two Teensy 2.0 and a single 2.0++ from PJRC just arrived. ;) I went ahead and simply copied your wiring. Hex file uploading with the Teensy Loader also works. So the only thing I`m missing is your current USB sketch and hex file. Then I`d like to testdrive the joystick code a bit. Thank...
It's the Teensy 2.0, I buy them from PJRC.com. The Teensy 2.0++ can also be used but it's slightly bigger and a little bit more expensive. You would need it if you want to convert a Stacy keyboard, because you'll need the extra pins when you connect it to the keyboard matrix. So I finally came to b...
