Re: MegaSTe hardware problems -help locate it please!

How about Quest Components? I just registered with them (in order to check the shipping costs) and found out that there's a minimum US$ 25 order (100 of those T-filters) and the cheapest shipping method would be US$ 50, so in total US$ 75 for 100 of them. And that's not even including import duty a...

Re: The Atari ST (and others) and the Creative People

I agree with your review as well. The book was a great initiative and I do like it and I'm glad I bought it, but there's definitely room for improvement. I found several passages hard (actually more or less impossible) to follow as well. Some of them just appeared to be nonsense, such as the example...

Yes! Good idea! :-)
Always use a proper tool! The PLCC sockets are fairly fragile.

The Z85C3010VSC and Z85C3010VSG are interchangeable, VSG is just a lead free version.

Daniel: Where "does it not" list release parties? If you mean in the search-engine... then yes that's still a big mess... but then on the other hand being in top ten on pouet does not necessarily mean "good stuff" as everything is a matter of taste. You have to go through everyt...

Re: Demo scene

Forget poudead... latest Atari ST stuff can be found here: https://demozoo.org/productions/?platform=9&production_type= True, but to be honest, demozoo lacks a lot when it comes to being able to find the "good stuff". It doesn't list release parties (and the result, e.g., "1st at...

Re: Assembled list of LCD/CRT VGA monitors supporting Atari low/med res

The wiki has been broken for a looong time now and I doubt it'll get fixed. So I welcome a list in this thread!
Would the wiki be fixed sometime we can update its list with what we have collected here.

Here's a monitor that works well (tested by me):

Unless I missed something, the Atari version is in German only. That's a showstopper for me.

VERY good for a first screen in asm! You're talented! Don't give it up! Now it's just about coming up with new ideas and effects, and synchronizing everything with the beat of the music! So, how do you like programming in assembly language? It's tedious at times, but you've got total control ...

Modern multisync monitors?

I know multisync monitors have been discussed here before, but it's mostly been discussions around older monitors. Does anyone know of any monitors that can be bought in stores *today* that are capable of 15kHz / 50Hz and that work well with the Atari ST and Falcon030? I've been looking at this one:...

Guys, don't be silly. Postage from the US would cost a fortune, way more than you can purchase any SC1224/SC1435 in Europe. Well, if you find one that is. Isn't the SC1435 pretty hard to find nowadays? I don't know, is it? http://www.ebay.de/itm/ATARI-Monitor-SC-1435-Monitor-RGB-STEREO-fur-ATARI-ST...

An RJ11 connector has 6 positions but only 4 of them are used, so yes, a female RJ11 connector would only have 4 pins.

The only difference between a RJ11 connector and a RJ12 connector is that the RJ11 is 6p4c and RJ12 is 6p6c.

I think Atari uses the 6 contacts, correct me if I'm wrong.
Greetings.

Pin 1,2 and 5,6 share the same signals (+5VDC and GND respectively) so 6 positions with 4 contacts should be sufficient.

Great work Thomas! Good presentation and nice effects! Like it! If you enjoy programming (demos), you should consider moving on to assembly language. I think you'd really enjoy it!
