Re: Modern multisync monitors?

Different suppliers I've read. I tried to find out whether mine is a U2410F or U2410, but it doesn't say anywhere. Monitors usually have a sticker somewhere with the details but I wasn't able to find one on mine. Maybe somebody removed it, I don't know.

Re: ATI Mach64 running pretty hot!

Thanks for all the comments on this! I'll most likely put a heat sink on it and drill some more holes as well, perhaps even put a couple of small silent fans in the box. At first I was sad to see that the card didn't fit inside the TT, now I'm actually glad that it doesn't as it produces quite some ...

Re: TT030 VGA picture quality

Yeah, the OSSC is not ideal for the Falcon030, but good enough I'd say. If you want a pretty much ideal monitor for the Falcon030 have a look at the Dell UltraSharp U2410. Just posted about it here: http://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 58#p353446

Re: Modern multisync monitors?

I ended up buying the Benq BL912 19" monitor. It works all the way down to 15.7kHz/50Hz and can show all ST and Falcon030 video modes. Looks like the monitor is still available in stores and online. It's a TN screen so the viewing angle is not great, but it's fast so demos and games look great...

Re: Falcon crashing when moved

Yeah, well it would be interesting to know why they were replaced in the first place. Do you know the history of this machine? You could try and press gently on the motherboard at various spots in an attempt to identify where on the board the problem is located. Has any chips been replaced? Check th...

ATI Mach64 running pretty hot!

So I got my Nova with the ATI Mach64 up and running. Seems to work great but it does run a bit hot inside that enclosure (standard one sold with the Nova). Even the enclosure itself get pretty warm. I wonder if the card needs passive or active cooling or are people running it in the box without anyt...

Re: Falcon crashing when moved

I would be surprised if the work on the back side is from the factory. Seems like somebody tried to replace components with the wrong (too large) package size, like 1206 instead of 0805.

I can not open https://www.videogameperfection.com ! Wow. Seems like the site went down right after I posted the link. The site is probably under attack or something. Check it again in a few ours/days. Is this same thing: http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=OSSC ? Yes! Where did you buy it and...

Re: Dual monitor setup?

The problem is how the Videl is setup in the demos. It's possible, for instance, to switch between 256 colors and TrueColor without changing frequencies. The monitor will never notice the switch. I do that in the MORE demo. So I would assume it would be possible to patch quite a lot of demos.

Re: TT030 VGA picture quality

OK, it's time to revive a very old thread again. For everyone with a TT that wants a perfect picture on a modern LCD when using the internal TT-Shifter, go buy an OSSC: https://www.videogameperfection.com/products/open-source-converter/ I've said it before, this thing gives full control over the vid...

Re: Wanted: ST-RAM board for the Atari TT030

I rather not touch the motherboard. I think I'll try and find a 2MB board and upgrade it to 8MB. Should be fairly straight-forward as long as I find the chips. Thanks for your help guys!
So, still looking for a 2MB board, or 8MB board for that matter!

Sounds like it would be quite a mess. Do you have pictures of that mod? Would like to keep this TT fairly clean as it's in mint condition.

I also got the “bad TOS version message” when testing it with TOS 1.04, 1.62 and 2.06 under Hatari ... and I have found the reason why : this version only works with a Swedish TOS. After downloading a Swedish TOS 1.62, it worked fine. I’ve found a French Calamus 1.09 N version which runs on a...

Re: Wanted: ST-RAM board for the Atari TT030

Oh, sounds interesting, but I don't have a 2MB board to mod (yet). I only have the 2MB that is present on the motherboard. However those memory chips are in DIL sockets. 16*128k. Would it be possible to replace those with 16*256k or 16*512k chips to achieve 4MB or 8MB total ST-RAM? Is Lynxman still ...

Re: Dual monitor setup?

You need one of these: https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/storenew/#0107 It will let you connect your STE to any VGA monitor using a standard VGA cable. Depending on the frequencies supported by your monitor it will show ST-Low, ST-Medium and/or ST-High. A regular VGA switch box would work fine ...

Wanted: ST-RAM board for the Atari TT030

Hi,

Just got my new TT setup properly but it has only the built-in 2MB ST-RAM and I'd like to have at least 4MB ST-RAM. Anyone interested in selling me a working 2MB or 8MB ST-RAM board for the TT?

Thanks,
Daniel

Re: LCD capable of 100 Hz?

I totally understand what you're saying. Space is always a problem. Can never get enough of that. Nothing beats a CRT when it comes to demos though. That's why I keep my 19" VGA CRT screen on my desk even though it takes up a lot of space. The 14" RGB CRT is in the closet. For the Falcon03...
