Would be interested in the Gerber files for the Falcon030 if you find them.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! To me the true reward is if people enjoy watching the demo! I had a fantastic time creating it and your words inspire me to continue programming on my favorite computer of all-time, the Falcon030. Also, thank you to everyone else participating in the demo competit...

Re: We won!

Thanks! :-) Should run just fine in Hatari, but maybe the settings weren't what it wants. Can't remember exactly the settings I used. Will check when I get back home on Monday. There'll be a video uploaded at some time as well, but please watch on real hardware if possible, CRT screen preferred for ...

New Beat's contribution to the Sommarhack 2018 demo competition can be downloaded from our page. The demo is for stock Falcon030 computers and requires at least 4MB of ST-RAM. Both VGA and RGB monitors are supported. http://nb.atari.org The demo can also be downloaded from demozoo or pouet . For peo...

Why not just repaint the keys. Should be possible to have stickers produced that could be used as masks for the key labels.

Re: MSTE 16MHz

It really would have been awesome if Atari had put in a dip switch or something to leave it at 16Mhz. I was trying to test some things with the VME board I got between the Mega STe and the TT030 and you never realize how SLOW the 8mzh is until you've been playing with the 32Mhz 030! I am just talki...

Re: Wiki dead?

I agree that it wouldn't be a great idea to open it up for write-access if Dal's going to fix the original, but we've been waiting for that to happen for a while (years?) and I frankly don't think Dal has the time, so if he'd agree to let somebody else take over the Wiki, I think it'd the best solut...

Great work! Now, lets find a TT030! :-)
Ever since I read a review of the TT in an issue of ST Format (or was it ST User?) I've wanted one, but they were completely out of reach for me when released. I eventually bought a MegaSTe instead and at least got that awesome looking case!

Re: FS: Capacitor replacement kits for Falcon030 motherboard and PSU.

$65 USD for a recap is a good deal. There's quite some work involved. Opening the machine up, getting all the old caps out, putting new ones in, running tests and finally putting the machine back together again. Add to that also the packing and shipping. $65 USD is a definitely a good deal! Nichicon...

Re: FS: Capacitor replacement kits for Falcon030 motherboard and PSU.

Yes you did! :-) At the time I'd been having problems with resets on one of my Falcons for quite some time. I knew a common reason for that was dried up caps in the reset circuitry. Your post gave me the final motivation I needed to go ahead and actually replace them all! I did use film capacitors f...

Re: FS: Capacitor replacement kits for Falcon030 motherboard and PSU.

Why do you use a different form factor for most of the capacitors? Most are available in axial, too, albeit some have to be switched to a slightly higher voltage. Personal preference. I like the Panasonic FR seriers of electrolytic capacitors. The specifications are very good and they are not too e...

Re: FS: Capacitor replacement kits for Falcon030 motherboard and PSU.

Here's the list for the Falcon030 PSU. As before, the capacitors come from different sources. In this case Mouser and Elfa. Prices are today's prices and do not include tax or shipping. Total cost if you buy all the capacitors in the list from the sources specified is about €7, excluding tax and shi...
