Re: KryoFlux - Write what you want!

You know how to submit stream images - please send a few that do not work; if you already see in the GUI, that the index is off, or there is NFA... no need to supply those. ;)

KryoFlux - Write what you want!

It's been some time... and we said we'd make it happen one day. So without further ado... here it is: KryoFlux v2.50 with write support for STREAM files. Just dump a disk and write it back. No analysation (which we still recommend) required. Here is the changelog: http://forum.kryoflux.com/viewtopic...

You can also directly load CT Raw (CTR) files produced by KryoFlux and KryoFlux Free (for Amiga *cough*). ;)

Cool, we better don't MESS with STEEM Steve, otherwise committing HATARIkiri might be our last resort.

Re: New IPF decoder ("capslib") supports loading of raw file

Really, no offence intended. I just picked some names randomly. Hatari came to mind, because Nicolas helped so much during the development of this major rewrite. Actually, we started compiling a of all emulators we know of before you complained which will be used for a separate sticky on our forums....

I don't think anyone would ever need to switch. You have a 64bits Windows or you don't. :)

KryoFlux USB - Software update to v2.40

Hi! We have a major software update (Windows first again), which among many new features, brings even faster and more precise conversion to CT raw. Give it a try - and play your dumps instantly in STEem, Hatari and others. See our changelog for more information: http://forum.kryoflux.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: New IPF decoder ("capslib") supports loading of raw file

Draft will be best of worlds. Size more like CT raw, precision of stream.

We now have more processing power these days and not the memory constraints the Amiga platform had.

New IPF decoder ("capslib") supports loading of raw files

Hi, you can now use any dumps made with KryoFlux for USB or the CAPS/Softpres dumping tool (now released as KryoFlux FREE for AmigaOS) over the last decade and directly load your raw files in STEem, Hatari or WinSTon. Here's the direct link for the new library v5.0, release of source is pending: htt...

KryoFlux FREE for AmigaOS released

Ok, the following is for Amiga BUT the result (=data dumped) can also be used for the ST. We would have an ST version, if the ST would have a chance to do this, but unfortunately the WD1772 controller in the ST just can't. So, if you have an Amiga, you can image there and then use this data in emula...

Re: Chambers of Shaolin

Hi Alex,

since I just need to verify, yes, you could use the old dumping software. Not sure if this is the highscore track, would need to check, but can't hurt just looking at yours. Maybe they have not been modified...

Chambers of Shaolin

Got a pile of stuff directly from Marc Rosocha. Would like to make sure we create IPFs of valid data. Unfortunately, disk A of CoS has a modified track 0. Either modification by Marc or disk repaired by Marc by writing a new track 0. Afaik these disks were returns from dealers, so possibly virus kil...

Right, you created man before God. You stuck your foot in your mouth and tried to claim that the image posted by DrCoolZic was modified, and its not. Which it is. Now both graphs are processed. DrCoolZics software does PLL processing for the disk view, which obviously does not work on bad read...

Re: List of difficult to copy disks

Jim, it really does not matter if you use f a n c y formatting , facts are facts . Let me correct things for you: "Preserving" means checking integrity and authenticity , both are essential and only integrity will allow you to do good copies with verify . This is what we do and what people...

Re: List of difficult to copy disks

No, Jim you are wrong. Drives are immune to your reality distortion field, so you never ever get exact multiples of 25ns. You are doomed when you try to read something that's a pure multiple of 41.66ns. Guess what, we can read that and you can't... DrCoolZics pictures show a perfectly well ima...

Re: List of difficult to copy disks

Also, keep in mind that bits were typically written on even multiples of 2us time, which means that if the bit was written at 4us, SuperCard Pro can read it back as exactly 4us. You are wrong. There's drive motor wobble, head friction and quartz difference. Hence something written at 2us or 4us, fo...

I hope it's ok to ask here, did not want to create another thread. Haven ST here, with some keys that are hard to press/make contact. Hi, just doing some coding excercise. It's usually good to learn from other programs, so I am currently facing the depacking of another program. I managed to get that done by using my 68k Amiga tools (please, don't shoot me :-). I now have the program as binary in RAM. After doing the changes want t...
