Re: CT60e installation guide?

Is it just a case of remove the Falcon's stock PSU, insert the CT60e and find a ATX style PSU to power it? Yes. I have seen people talk of a 030/060 switch. Do I need one? Where does it go? I see a header on the CT60e with PWR_SW, CT60, IDE, RST, PWR_LED and JTAG. Does the PWR_SW need to be held cl...

Re: Found SCSI drive replacement SSD for TT etc

There's a better alternative especially for Atari machines, compatible with both ACSI and SCSI: Gigafile by https://shop.inventronik.de/index.php?id_lang=2

There are prices on the site, too.

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Did you flash the latest CTPCI firmware (Xilinx config file, whatever) also? Those files must match. Latest versions should be (all from 2012):
-ABE_V7F.JED
-SDR_V7D.JED
-CTPCI_1M.JED

See attached archive if you can't find them elsewhere.

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Just to clarify: I do have a netusbee, but currently there are no usb plugs connected (they were, but the cables are very stiff and the solder joints didn't last), so I'm only testing with a PCI USB card.

Meanwhile it's 07:30 here :-)

Re: CTPCI and USB card

I've found an ancient USB 2.0 18-in-1 card reader by Hama that is recognized by TOS and only accepts small cards (up to 2GB or some such). It is slow (xferrate reports 140kb/s), but otherwise working to access TOS-compatible media under both MagiC and MiNT. More modern card readers as well as some t...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Testing usb_ba198af9 with a 16GB (INTENSO) brand USB thumb drive I can get a file listing of said drive in /q if it is plugged in during boot and without loading the mass storage driver. That's the built-in driver of TOS, I guess. If I insert the drive after boot and then start loader.prg, it create...

Ektus: I noticed another problem, practically did not work left and right SHIFT key on my keyboard, no response after pressing under TOS and MagiC, Under MiNT, when I press only left SHIFT on the screen shows "6", pressing right SHIFT letter "a". What do you think about it ? Is ...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Testing USB, with the 1-19 kernel "post-pcibios" (from the network thread) the system froze upon connecting a thumb drive. Reset switch to the rescue, rebooting with the thumb drive still connected. System reaches desktop. Access LED on thumb drive blinks every 3s or so. There is no USB ke...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

Testing different versions is a PITA. From within the running system, you can't rename the 1-19-cur folder, which otherwise is the easiest way to switch versions. Rename mint.prg in AUTO-folder, rename corresponding system folder, reboot. No need to copy around kernel modules and stuff. But no, fold...

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Testing now... 1) In my working 0.17 setup, replace rtl8139.xif with the one from earlier in this thread: Still working (ping and resolve, at least. no packet loss). 2) Pre-PCIBIOS, rtl8139xif from thread: Working (as above) 3) Post-PCIBIOS, rtl8139xif from thread: Boots to desktop, ifconfig reports...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

My file system looks good, and i am using COP's, so i don't think there's a problem there. Maybe it could be because you are using the DVI cable? i am using standard VGA 15pin cable. I can try and test with a VGA cable, but don't know if the high resolutions are available via VGA. I won't have acce...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

The pendrive shouldn*t interfere either, but I haven't tested that yet. IIRC, there's a mass storage driver included in later versions of the CTPCI TOS, but uses a fixed drive letter that is already occupied in my setup. Do you know what drive letter is fixed for mass storage. Sorry, no idea. It sh...

I've got an Eiffel, too, and there is no conflict whatsoever. Just plug in the mouse and keyboard to USB, and both mice and keyboards work. Re: CTPCI and USB card

Another question is whether I will need your latest 2.02 TOS drivers, because at the moment it looks like if I have 2.00 Beta 2. After launching the MiNT, neither the keyboard nor the mouse will work. Do I need a driver yet? I've got no idea, sorry. I didn't use the internal connector, and only bri...

Re: CTPCI and USB card

I've even got 1920x1200 running, with 16M colours and my usual MagiC 6.20 setup. "File not found" doesn't sound good. Corrupt file system? Incompatible control panel? I've been using cops, started as "cops.prg" from the desktop. The resolutions are read from the monitor (VESA) an...

Re: Aniplayer 2.23 - June 2013 release!

The cookie is present with a value of $00000064 but playback of a video in AVI format shows only the original resolution. The zoom option uses the CPU to re-scale and slows to a crawl, in full screen mode there's only a very small fraction of the screen used to display the movie. What kind of media ...

Re: OFAM 2017

The damage was by a broken water pipe, the building is in the process of being dried, but currently there's no ETA. Therefore, there's a new location, check out the OFAM homepage.
