Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Maybe this will be the first program/game to use the extra mem of the monster card. I bought this for the IDE and I always wondered were the extra 8 mb was for (12MB total). Now I know this game :)

Re: Vampire 2 type hardwar for ST and why I want it.

My friend has one and I played with the vampire v2 a bit. It's pretty cool. In an Amiga it also makes some sense. There is a bunch of games, demos, emulators and other stuff which can use this power. And it's very compatible. Do I want one. Ofcourse. I ordered one last year. Do I want one in my Atar...

Re: Atari TT (vertical lines)

The current monitor connected is an nec 2190uxp. Which is an awesome monitor (picture quality). The non scaling option does not remove the lines. Playing around with the settings helps a bit. I now have an acceptable picture. The picture or artifacts do not change in time. I therefore don't expect a...

Re: Atari TT (vertical lines)

Hi,

The bars are all the same size (line spacing is the same). The colour does not matter.
My Falcon does not have this.
I also tried a second PSU in the TT but I don't see any diffrence.
My feeling is that this is an inherent TT thingy...

Re: Atari TT (vertical lines)

Thanks for the help.
It's not the cable. I tried a second cable. This cable is ok on various computers.
The foto is not very clear. I hope you can see it a bit (in reality it is worse):

Atari TT (vertical lines)

Dear Forum, Currently I'm busy cleaning the housing of TT. I also need to retrobright it (it's has an orange colour now (not even yellow anymore)). I however have a question about the VGA output. I know the VGA output is a bit strange (scaling). I however also see vertical lines on the screen. I tri...

Best way to remove a TT from it's housing

Dear All

Maybe a strange question. But what is the best way to remove the PCB of the TT from it's bottom housing.
It seems that the reset switch is blocking an easy removal.
But probably there is a good way to do it.
Could someone let me in on the secret :D

Re: Atari TT internal scsi questions?

Hello, Thanks for the tips and help! The atari TT does not have a rev number. On the PCB I see rev .... So probably the first rev? (its 33 mhz but most ic are in sockets and it has a big metal shielding) The scsi2sd is a version 3. Yesterday I already tried with a jumper on the board. Today I tried ...

Atari TT internal scsi questions?

Dear All, Just received my first Atari TT. I tried connecting an internal scsi drive (scsi2sd). Scsi id is set on 0 (which is default I think for the TT). When I boot with hddriver it hangs on scsi 0 (hddriver message when booting). So it sees something but something is wrong in the communication. I...

Re: Ticking sound Mega STE DMA

Thanks for the replies.
The ticking is overall not very bad so probably i keep it as is if a fast mod is not available.
It's also software related. When the system is in 16 mhz it seems gone.
In 8 mhz with certain games it's bad.
Try obsession pinball.

Re: Ticking sound Mega STE DMA

Today I performed the mod. The sound issue however does not change.
I have the feeling this has to do with the hardware of the mega ste itself (concept).
So probabaly all mega ste have this with certain software due to the diffrences with the normal ste.
