Re: AVR-AY

Will you have any spare PCB? I would be interested in buying it. Yes, it should be possible. Anyway, if I sell everything, I'll order more, and try to improve the boards. Some components are not very intelligently placed, it's difficult to imagine before having the real board in hands. Also, becaus...

Re: Project-Ymer...2017

just a few questions... It saves as .ymt format. And there is a ymt player for atari st, which is good. But since .ay / .ym / .sndh format are more common for exchanging file, is it possible to convert easily from .ymt to .ym? I though to load the ymt file into hatari, and use the .ym recorder from ...

Re: How creat a YM file?

@stormer if you want to create chiptune music for the ym2149 chip, there are plenty of options: maxymiser, musicmon, vortex tracker
This one is good too: http://www.fedepede04.dk/Ym2149.html

Re: MiSTer Logo Design

the first logo looks ok, however it's a bit simple. Also when designing (a modern) logo, it's better to has a version which can looks great as well in black and white. A gradient can be ok, but it shouldn't be the main distinctive element.

Re: Moving MIST (etc) sub-forum into it's own main forum area

thanks for that! It's better now. I think it's better not to make too many sub-forums: it tends to confuse people to find the right section. Just a single one for MiST (and MiSTer), newbie questions and all the core into the same part is fine for me.

MiST: high carrier noise from the sound output

hello, I noticed there is a little high carrier noise (like a beeeeeeeep) from the sound output of my MiST. It's not very loud of course, but when I record from it, we can hear it. There is a workaround but it's not very practical: I've also noticed if I disconnect the VGA plug, then the noise disap...

Re: MiST core and firmware changelog

sorry @jcarvalho, but you often complain about how the MiST is not correctly finished and such. It's an open source development made with the passion of some few (unpaid) developpers. We must be very grateful about what was already made. I'd be tempted to say if Turrican II is not working correctly ...

Re: Question(s) about MaxYMiser

I don't know how to select a block (the manual says nothing about that) => ok I've just found it in the online help, it's ALT+arrows. You can transpose a block or a track. Just hit alt or shift or control + F7 or F8. But what is important is it ONLY works for the SELECTED instrument. If you select a...

hello, Monitor for your monitor, what kind of connection are you using on it? A cinch/peritel adapter or the VGA one? Have a look at this: https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki/DocIni "The MiST firmware has a few configuration options available, which can be set by adding a "mist.i...

Re: AMIGA: MIST vs Pi3 vs Vampire/real Amiga (4000?)

@Atarieterno: I can understand your ressentiment, and several other Atari-users might feel this too. You probably feel like the atari-forum had been hijacked by MiST users, including Amiga admirers. Well, in a way, it sometimes looks like there are more new messages about MiST (and MiSTer) than abou...

hey, thanks a lot, it's even in French. I didn't think to look into the Automation catalog (and I was just browsing this catalog yesterday for an other game!), and with such a short name my other attempt had been in vain.

MOT (1989, Opera Soft)

Alfonso Azpiri died recently (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfonso_Azpiri ) and I was browsing his great covers. I remembered of the game called "MOT", which was released on Amstrad, Atari ST, MSX... The game looks nice, and I can't find it anywhere: http://www.atarimania.com/st/scree...

Re: Introducing "SNES of FPGA"

I've never played on a real SNES (I had no console when I was younger, only computers), but I must admit this console is very good, like for the Megadrive. Many SNES games are similar, or better, than their 16/32 bit equivalent. The advantage also was a game in several floppies could be included in ...

it sounds nice, but it can't load compressed YM files (most of them are compressed in LHa, now I see the author told about this in the first post). Just out of curiosity, what is this .fym format? (It seems to be compressed)
