Re: eBay deal gone bad

I would have thought that if the parcel is insured that your vendor will be able to make a claim with the photographs attached above. If you cannot get it resolved with the vendor (i.e. the shipper says it was not parcelled adequately) then escalate it to eBay / PayPal and you will get your money ba...

Re: STFM to DVI/HDMI project

Nice project. Good luck. I'll be following. James Boulton, co-author of the SainT emulator and creator of the Atari Lynx and Jaguar flash cards was doing a project like this. I think it is on hold but his project was discussed on this forum. It won't work for STE, sorry. There's no external shifter,...

I need 2x SD boards (vertical) and 2x IO boards. Anyone selling them at this time?

I could take kit form if that helps?

Re: Introducing "SNES on FPGA"

After a release to the DE0-CV board the author pgate1 has said he will consider a port to MiSTer

https://twitter.com/a1exh/status/918523392281718784

[Update] However he has said that he will only be able to supply pre-built images (sof?) and not the HDL. Which is better than nothing?

Re: HDTV LCD TV Box with a analog tuner...

You can't do this. The Analog RF input on a DTV Box goes into the DVB-T tuner for digital TV reception. The boxes do not (generally) have Analog TV tuners and so Analog TV signals (like the Analog RF output of the Atari ST) are rejected or passed through to the Analog RF output. The same goes for bo...

Yes the internal SCSI card has a set of DIP switches to program up it's LUN. Perhaps investigate those?

Re: External Ultrasatan "Identification unavailable" on Mega Ste

Inside the MegaSTe are a row of headers where an internal SCSI card can go. Have a look to see if the card is fitted or there are lots of jumpers in place. IIRC if there is no card and no jumpers the external ACSI port doesn't work. http://atari.8bitchip.info/MegaSTEACSI.html [EDIT: Ah I see you do ...

I still have it. It has been moved from the attic to the spare room. That was a chore. I am 5 days into 10 days away at the moment. Back home on Sunday 8th.

Re: Slow down the Falcon for ST games

Some games use a timer for the music replay routine rather than the VBL.

Wings of Death is one of these games, I presume it uses a timer rather than a VBL because it natively supports 50Hz and 60Hz and they wouldn't have wanted the music to change.

There is a picture of it in the blog I made when it came to me. I could make some more if you were really interested. http://atari-falcons.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/scuzzy.html It's not a particularly nice case. Certainly not nice like a modern PC case. FlashFloppy (New Open-source Gotek FW)

Here is a new Gotek FW which is open source. It supports HFE format (developed by HxC) and will soon natively support .ST (I think they added Atari Floppy disk drive interface support from 0.6.1a) https://github.com/keirf/FlashFloppy It is compatible with the HxCFE File selector https://github.com/j...

Re: Introducing "SNES of FPGA"

Some one said, his SNES is written in some language other than VHDL/Verilog. If it's true, then i'm not sure if it possible to compile it in Quartus. It's written in VHDL (or at least the top level supplied in the Zip file is) and is built for the DE0 and DE1 which use Altera so I imagine thay uses...

Re: Introducing "SNES of FPGA"

Comparing price of bare Amiga A1200 and SNES with extras is not correct. The price/functionality of an A500 + Gotek can pretty much be compared to a SNES + Everdrive. Can't it? compare A1200+68060 accel if you want to compare the prices. I don't think that is valid. The Everdrive is just a cartridg...

Re: Introducing "SNES of FPGA"

The SNES (+SuperMagicom) was where lots of UK Amiga/Atari users transitioned to while saving for a x86 PC's. I'd go to Scene events in the early 90's with my SNES+Magicom and it drew a crowd.

Base model real Amiga's today are certainly cheaper to buy than a real SNES + Everdrive in the UK

Introducing "SNES on FPGA"

Might be worth contacting the developer and ...
