Re: Wall-Mounting a Falcon

Thanks, alexh. I'm getting a 'Sorry, content not available' error on that FB link I fixed the link re-directing to image hosting https://ibb.co/jKUfgT but I'm guessing it's one of those 'take everything out the case and hang the parts on the wall' jobs? Yeah tasteful and relatively narrow. You can ...

Well done. Look forward to trying.

For anyone interested here is a thread about the development of BeebFPGA starting with the original FPGA source by Mike Sterling

Put me down for two. I'll collect like last time if that's ok? Take a look at your ATW-800? :)

Re: CPU/Processor Upgrade for the Atart ST

I'm quite sure they are. They are used by the GLUE to allow the CPU access to the bus. Interesting. Another thing - does the Vampire support the processor status pins? These are IIRC not used in the Amiga, but they are in the ST. FC0-2 & IPL0-IPL2 are raised on the Apollo forum as "Unused ...

Re: CPU/Processor Upgrade for the Atart ST

V500 don't have bus arbitration logic signals(BR,BG and BGACK) So the V500 will not work in an ST. Interesting stuff. Unfortunately I don't know enough about Atari ST/ 68000 bus architecture to know if those are required in an ST where the 68000 has been removed. The reason they are present on Vamp...

Re: CPU/Processor Upgrade for the Atart ST

IIRC Vampire v2 doesn't support Atari ST due to lack of signals like VPA,VMA and E needed by ST That is not correct. Now you are not correct. Are you sure? 4 days ago Igor Majstorovic (creator of the Vampire boards) confirmed these signals are on the Vampire 500 board. http://www.apollo-core.com/kn...

It's on an Amiga.

Re: CPU/Processor Upgrade for the Atart ST

I think the Apollo team must have failed to find a good quality expert Atari user to help develop the Apollo Core using a Vampire A500 v2 on the Atari ST? Instead they have created an MMU configuration which mimics the Atari ST memory layout allowing them to use EmuTOS and FreeMinT on an Amiga!! htt...

I like the idea. Applaud the designers. USB is not an easy thing to support especially for an non OS friendly environment like the Atari ST.

How many VME slots does a MegaSTe have? Mine are empty at the moment but I always assumed a gfx card might go in there eventually.

Thanks for all your hard work.

I donated a small amount. If you port MiST, Suska or another ST core to the platform then I'd donate a bit more.

(I do understand why you haven't, without cycle accuracy they don't have great compatibility)

Re: CT60e is coming :)

Is it possible to create a version wherein the 060 is replaced with an FPGA running the apollo cpu core? No. But there is a chance the Vampire V4 can be made to fit a Falcon 030 CPU slot with a passive adaptor board. You'd need a specialised version of the Apollo Core to put in there to make it wor...

Re: Packing boxes for STE and STFM

If Robson re-made the white STF/FM/e boxes I'd take two.

I already purchased the Atari Falcon 030 boxes from him and they really do help "complete" a collection.

Albeit my collection will now take up 2x the space it once did without boxes:)
