Re: Introducing "SNES of FPGA"

Some one said, his SNES is written in some language other than VHDL/Verilog. If it's true, then i'm not sure if it possible to compile it in Quartus. It's written in VHDL (or at least the top level supplied in the Zip file is) and is built for the DE0 and DE1 which use Altera so I imagine thay uses...

Re: Introducing "SNES of FPGA"

Comparing price of bare Amiga A1200 and SNES with extras is not correct. The price/functionality of an A500 + Gotek can pretty much be compared to a SNES + Everdrive. Can't it? compare A1200+68060 accel if you want to compare the prices. I don't think that is valid. The Everdrive is just a cartridg...

Re: Introducing "SNES of FPGA"

The SNES (+SuperMagicom) was where lots of UK Amiga/Atari users transitioned to while saving for a x86 PC's. I'd go to Scene events in the early 90's with my SNES+Magicom and it drew a crowd.

Base model real Amiga's today are certainly cheaper to buy than a real SNES + Everdrive in the UK

Introducing "SNES on FPGA"

I saw a previous thread about someone who developed a closed source SNES HDL re-implementation. Many years previously a developer in Japan also developed a closed source SNES HDL re-implementation BUT he has provided binary ports to different FPGA boards. Might be worth contacting the developer and ...

Re: Madmax's tracker ?

I am just a big fan and non of my knowledge is first hand. what is certain is that they worked on some projects together. One such project was the implementation of the 7 channel multiplexing in the TFMX editor. It is my belief that Jochen gave/sold Chris the 68k software sample mixing code. I don't...

Is that true? I mean MM formats on the Amiga are known as HIP, HIPC and HIP7V. Are these TFMX derivatives? Or vice versa?

Not so much what it stands for. But why does it say it? TFMX is widely considered to be a Chris Huelsbeck format no?

It's missing 6 chips.

CPU (Probably a PGA 030 and obtainable),
FPU (Probably not needed),
ROM *2 (Well without this it's totally unusable)
+2* other sockets

1999 Game did the same. They did a retrogaming promotion. I think they bought stock from Telegames? Boxed Jaguars were about £25 and games and pads were £10. I bought two jag pads. Wish I had bought more but I was living in a 1 bed flat

Very easy to install an ad blocker. Some apps malfunction if they can't connect to the ad server but most just display a black box or nothing. We ad block on our router at home too

What's the expansion card? It's plugged into the CPU expansion slot and not the ST-RAM slot. No sign of a processor but it has RAM. Probably some ALT-RAM upgrade? The connector on one side looks like it might also be a nemesis/phantom/blow-up style bus accelerator? (i.e. lots of wires going to the ...
