Re: Hatari on tablet device

Incidentally is there a way I could control the emulated ST's mouse pointer with one of the analogue thumbsticks?

Re: Hatari on tablet device

I recently installed Hataroid to put my Much W1 phone/tablet and it's gaming buttons to good use and couldn't help but notice a familiar looking keyboard drawing :) I did a bit of Googling and found this thread and thought I should clarify the following: Thanks for the image. I had no idea you did t...

I'm a bit rusty but does that -(a3) not subtract 2 as you're moving a word?

This is exactly what I have been doing in Turrican and drawing scenery blocks off-screen during the visible screen portion of the VBL

Having listened to them many, many times I can confirm that Jochen Hippel did 4 voice versions of Turrican II's title and end music and I think he did a splendid job!

Just a quick note to say I am currently in the process of re-doing the scenery drawing code from scratch and hope to have a little demo of that to upload in a few weeks :)

Re: humming/whining sound during emulation

I don't know if this is related but I have found that when STeem is running it affects sound coming from other programs and I have to turn the volume down from within STeem's options to make it sound more normal!

I did try setting up a keyboard shortcut for fullscreen but that didn't do anything either, no idea why :P

Thanks for the ideas so far though :)

Re: Full screen mode in STeem

The main problem isn't so much the stretching (I could just make the window narrower) but the fact it's not doing full screen at all i.e. not changing resolution or anything! I am somewhat miffed!

Re: Coming soon! Steem SSE 3.5

I just wanted to add another voice of appreciation for working on improving what seems to be the favourite ST emulator of at least most Windows users. I look forward to seeing version 3.5 soon :)

Big thumbs up to Steven Seagal :)

Re: Full screen mode in STeem

I should probably add some details of what I'm running and what it's running on!

Steem 3.2 and Steem 3.4.1
Windows 7 64-bit with SP1
2 x AMD Radeon 6850's (latest drivers)
2 monitors

I tried disconnecting the secondary monitor but it made no difference

Full screen mode in STeem

No matter what I do fiddling around with settings in STeem, I simply cannot get it to go full screen. When I hit the Maximise button it just makes the window full screen sized (and stretches the picture horrendously since it's a widescreen monitor). Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted!

I am in the process of moving into/doing up a house too and we should be moved in a week or 2 (we are presently staying with relatives). Once we're in, top priorities for me are setting up the PC and the TT with the intention of getting back to this (and other projects).

The "in between" screens in Shadow Of The Beast are split resolution. Most of the screen is in normal low res with 16 colours and the bottom part with the scroller is in medium res.

Bottom border in 640x480?

Does anyone who's downloaded the source fancy trying a little modification? As far as I can see STeem only uses 3 video modes in fullscreen:- 640x400 - Never show borders (if enabled) 640x480 - Never show borders (640x400 not enabled)/Auto borders 800x600 - Auto borders (borders open)/Always show bo...

The problem isn't the CPU time required, its that it needs very accurate instruction timing, which isn't the kind of thing you can usually do in anything other than assembler.

It really ought to be fixed so that it fits correctly at 1024 pixels anyway. There is space doing nothing between that text and the search box anyway!
