Re: Doom for TT030.

How does BadMooD even run so well on a stock Falcon? It's basically unplayable on any Amiga or Mac with a 68030 Its not the Falcon 68030 "responsible" for this ( Atari TT has faster 68030 and it does not help run Doom better ) It plays this way on Falcon as many calculations are done by t...

Re: Atari800 Falcon/TT030 port

Before we get ( I guess ) the latest build from mikro :) you can play a little bit with really old version ( 1.3.1 ) which is there: https://sourceforge.net/projects/atari800/files/atari800/1.3.1/ ( I remember that about 50% games did work when I tried this long time ago ) Or try the attached 2.1.0...

Reading HYP format

There was a Windows application capable of viewing HYP documents. I do not remember how that was named, so my google-fu can find it.
Can someone please share this or a link where it can be found? ( or even better, if there is any linux hyp viewer, but I sincerely doubt it )

Re: News on my GEM games

Thanks a lot for trying to fix it. Unfortunaltely it behaves the same. I even changed CT63 to a different one to exclude the CT fault.
If I switch to 030 mode it loads fine and starting game was OK. Of course the speed of this was about 1 frame every 2 seconds :)

Re: News on my GEM games

@jury: presence of window (with progress bar) or the freeze is before? what environnement do you have (NVDI? monoTOS or MagiC or FreeMiNT?). I usually forget to test under old monoTOS. Did not know there is a progress bar, it freezes right away after double click on prg. Env is plain TOS with NVDI ...

Thanks for this project. I tried it on Falcon with CT63 but after double clicking it looks as it starts loading it, but stays in this state forever. Well, at least for 40 minutes.

Re: Falcon/CT60e video options

Yes, and I have tested it in detail. CT60e has a slight hardware modification vs CT60 and CT63 which needs a new patched TOS , and this patch has been applied only to TOS 1.04, not to TOS 2.02 which is necessary to use CTPCI. Yesterday I have talked to a guy that told me that this "slight hard...

Re: Recommended accelerator options for ST

I’d like to play some old games at faster frames rates. What accelerators or hardware upgrades might you recommend? Well, I could get a ban for this replay, but to be honest if you want to play smoother, faster ST games ( sprite ones, not the vector ones ), the best option ( and much more cheaper t...

Re: Number of colors

Thank you for the suggestions. From what I have read and understand about bmp file format, the palette for 8bit color images usually starts from byte 54 Usually maybe, but not always. BMP files consist of a 14 byte file header, a BITMAPINFOHEADER, the palette, and then the data. The offset 54 is onl...

Re: Faster Ethernet? Anything available?

Yes, Svethlana requires Super Viedel. EtherNAT is by its own ( well, it needs CT6x ) but with the other options do you know if they are compatible and whether I can still buy them from someone? Thanks I think they should be compatibile. I'm suprised that CT60e is not compatibile with CTPCI, its stra...

The fastest will be CTPCI with Realtek card. With the latest drivers almost 10 times faster than NetUSBee.
Slower than the above option but much faster than NetUSBee would be EtherNAT and Svethlana
