Re: Underscore character

I guess you either use different TOS version with STEEM than with Hatari, or STEEM is lacking emulation for Atari keyboard. The TOS image files are in one folder from which Hatari and Steem is configured. And I of course tried to press all the possible keys on the keyboard, but maybe missed somethi...

Re: STE horizontal hardware scroll

Thanks, I understand this. What I did not get was, how is this changing the screen address every line can help me expand line width to ( as evil wrote ) infinite width ( and without using lw register ) But I will not be asking more, the magical sync code you mentioned above definitely excludes this ...

Re: STE horizontal hardware scroll

Thanks guys. I was hoping I was wrong as with vertical hardware scroll it seems like a real hardware scroll, no cpu involved, just the matter of memory. And as horizontally I need a little more width than this allows it looks that cpu must be engaged. The way around it is a little CPU-hungry but by ...

STE horizontal hardware scroll

According to: http://ftp.lip6.fr/pub/atari/Docs/hardware.txt $FF820F|byte |Width of a scanline (width in words-1) |R/W (STe) register ff820f is of a byte size for STE ( falcon has a different register which is of word size ) So does it mean that on STE there is a limit of a one shot playfield compos...

Underscore character

How do I type the underscore character in Hatari? When I press the _ key I get a "?" typed, when I press ? key I also get "?" typed. Tried with tos 1.62 us and uk. Version of Hatari is not known to me as I can not find where it can be checked. I have 2 or 3 different Hatari's at ...

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Well, if I remember correctly, Svethlana can be a little faster than 800KB/s with some newer firmware ( I still have version v5 which was supplied with it ). But it still will be far away from 2MB/s, so yes, the best option is RTL8139 so far and I should order it shortly :)

Yes, even on Svethlana I only have like 2 times more than on NetUSBee ( max 800KB/s, avg 600KB/s ) so this 2MB/s is massive compared to anything on this platform so far :)

MiNT RPM repo.

I'm looking for MiNT repository of RPM's. Before, I've always opened google and asked "sparemint atari" and it was enough. But now after few google searches I can not find it. Is it down or just well hidden? ;)

Re: Mouse Accelerator

In NVDI 5 ( do not know if in any other versions, as I never used anything other then 5 ) there is a CPX where you can boost your mouse. It works in TOS, MiNT and probably MagiC too, but never had MagiC installed.

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Downloads from my UbuntuLinux PC (vsftpd ftp server and nfs server) are very fast and stable, about 2200 KB/sec (with Litchi, download of a 12 MB mp3 file). Wow, nice speed 2200 KB/sec. I have to get some Realtek 8139D then and try it out, as the highest speed I achived so far was around 700 KB/sec...

I also had the same case when moving CT board from one Falcon to another ( also because damn strange network problems ) few days ago. I had checked everything many times, so I almost gave up. But one more thing came to me, I have some memory sticks laying around, so changed it and the second Falcon ...
