Profiler for gcc

Hi I use Vincent's cross toolchain and so far it works great. Now I would like to use gprof to check some stuff. I compile the project with -pg option, like: gcc -Wall -c -pg source.c and it compiles fine. But during linking process all I get is: /usr/m68k-atari-mint/lib//libc.a(writev.o):writev.o:(...

Re: IDE disk image

My fault, I have not fully disabled Super Videl configuration so it was half way SV configured and thats why the random pixel mess at the end of MiNT loading. I have disabled SV completely now and it load fine. Yaiks, I see ( and kind of work ) my Falcon MiNT setup on my Linux box :D I have also tri...

Re: IDE disk image

Are you sure it isn't just stopped on SCSI detection? That takes ages with old builds. Thanks, I was just impatient and been quitting Hatari after few minutes hanging on that screen thinking that it hang for sure. When I give it more time it goes forward. But unfortunately doesnt load MiNT. At the ...

IDE disk image

Is it possible to attach a Falcon's IDE disc's image? I of course read the documentation, but my English-foo is too weak to understand that ( for sure it is possible for ACSI images, but how about IDE's? ) so I decided to check it. I have an image done through dd and when trying to attach it in Hata...

Re: Doom for TT030.

I'm curious to know if anyone has ever benchmarked BadMood vs Doom on the Jaguar. Would be pretty funny if DML managed to squeeze better performance out of the Falcon than John Carmack had gotten out of the Jaguar. ??? Are you sure you have seen Doom on Jaguar? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIUH2...

Re: CT60 Videlity under MiNT

But I can't get Videlity to load on MiNT in CT60 mode, it just hangs the machine as soon as it's executed from mint.conf. It works in 030 mode in MiNT. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was using Videlity with MiNT in CT6x without any issues some time ago, but I'm pretty sure I was not r...

Port of a game - Barrage

Inspired by Eero's post here: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=32964&start=25#p344303 Barrage was ported. It definitely needs CT6x and works at around 20 frames per second, so its quite playable. I have only tested it through Super Videl, but I'm pretty sure it will work withou...

Resolution in MiNT

Is there a way to check what resolution and color depth the current video is set?
I'm changing this really often and sometimes I forget what I set the last time, so it would be helpful to check it somehow instead of doing reset to TOS and then another reset to MiNT.
I'm on Super Videl.

Re: Noob hardware questions

To be honest if it loads from a standard satan disc as fast / faster than floppy then that is good enough for me No worry, Satandisk will be faster then floppy. I do not remember exactly, but Atari ST floppy had a read speed somewhere around 40 KB/s and Satandisk is a little above 100 KB/s, so it w...

So a gotek emulates a floppy and the satandisc emulates a HD? I had seen a couple of satandiscs on eBay but they were all around £100 - $55 is a good price. I will get one when they are back in stock. I take it they work ok on a STFM? Not sure what difference the model numbers (STE etc.) actually m...

Just a little note. Forget about STew, its abandoned quite a long time ago, so its probably hugely inaccurate compared to currently maintained emulators, which now are I think just 2: Steem and Hatari.
