Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

Actually that's what I do if I leave my Falcon on and I need to go off for 10 mins. Any longer, I would just shutdown. Would be nice to have a sleep mode. From the CT6x official hyp guide: A SLEEP function (SLP) was even added in the hardware and manageable by a software (an ACC or a CPX) to 'sleep...

Re: SuperVidel causing trouble in 060 mode

I'm still not 100% sure that its what you need, so if anything wrong just let me know and I will do a retest. So what I did: - started Falcon with Ctrl key ( no sv_bios.prg loaded ) on Falcon VGA output in TOS - run the demo ( for like 20 seconds ) - switched video output to SV DVI - let the demo ru...

Re: SuperVidel causing trouble in 060 mode

You mean that the problem persists only when 2 monitors are running under clone option in sv.inf?
If so I will not be able to help currently as my second monitor died last summer and I still did not take it to repair.

Re: Quake 2 on Falcon030

I doubt that dml scans this forum anymore, so the only way to get him here is to quote some of his post so he will get an email notification ( as from my observations, those quote notifications are sent even if the thread is unsubscribed ). Then maybe he will write an update ( that no single line of...

Great, I'm attaching that version to the first post. Thanks for testing. except there is no sound Yes, there is no sound generaly. I had some problems with some sdl_mixer functions during linking, so to do a quick test I configured it without this library, and ... forgot about it ... But having more...

Re: Master of Orion

Thanks guys. Would it be possible also to compile it for the Coldfire? I do not have Firebee, so I sent you an email with executable to test. But I prefer MOO2 Yeah, lets hope that moo2 will also get the open source remake, as I'm hungry for 4x space strategies lately :) There was a moo2 remake star...

Re: SDL xbios target using gcc

Hi, unfortunately SDL won't initialise with an SDL screen set to 4bit: display = SDL_SetVideoMode(320, 200, 4, SDL_SWSURFACE|SDL_FULLSCREEN); This raises an SDL_Error message of: Invalid bits per pixel (range is {8...32}) Have you tried to set SDL_VIDEODRIVER to xbios? If not, do so and then run th...

Master of Orion

Here comes SDL Master of Orion game engine recreation, called 1oom, cross-compiled to atari platform. Works in MiNT and TOS, it just needs pbx files from original game which is for example available on gog.com ( for 6$ for MoM 1 and 2 ) and this is the version I have tested it with. Just drop the pr...

Re: SDL xbios target using gcc

OK, done some quick test on Falcon and it seems all is fine as seen on the attached screen.
So its either Hatari related ( like wrong configuration ) or implementation of SDL for ST is rather not proper, especially, that SDLs target is definitely not ST.

Re: SDL xbios target using gcc

I'm using Hatari, configured as a vanilla ST, and no matter what I do, whether it's trying to display a bitmap, or render a simple flat rectangle it doesn't work. The behaviour I see is SDL initialises the screen (320x200x8) The output I'm writing to the log shows no errors: ... Display: Driver mod...

Re: Bus error

Guys, its not the problem with the result ( as nothing is done with it yet ). Its the memcpy which throws the bus error when it tries to copy the pixel different then black. I will check it this evening again and will paste compilable piece of the code.

Re: Bus error

Thanks for reply, but I think I do not understand it. Memcpy does not do any interpretation of its data, it just copies given number of bytes from source to destination. And whether I'm on little or big endian it should not matter completely from what I understand. I declare some variable as 32 bit ...

Bus error

Below function runs in a loop at 1 pixel step ( x=x+1, y is the bottom line and always stays the same ) for the bitmat with fonts. Firts fraction of that bitmap looks like below attachement. All goes fine untill x position hits the pixel different than black, no matter what color it is, it gives Bus...

Have you tried this dead link through webarchive? There is quite a chance that it was archived so you could download from there.

I'm pretty sure that mono ( the guy responsible for atari port ) also done a version for 256 colors. Cant remember the link now but I guess thats somewhere in his quite long netsurf topic here on atari-forum.

Somehow I can not open the video ( it says what codecs I need, but Synaptic package manager says that I have those installed ) but during the cold boot when you quit the RAM check pressing any key, does it also hang?
