According to the last sentence from that webpage, there is a chance :)
And if I remember correctly, Dan has confirmed this also in this thread somewhere.

Re: STE - mouse pointer

I'm trying to understand mouse working in ST but it gets me more and more confused so far. I've read some documentation on this topic ( Atari Compendium, ST Internals ) but it did not get me far away yet. So to better understand working of mouse I decided to write some kind of 'scanner' for $fc02 so...

Re: Firebee and old soft

As chritstos above suggested. Try Falcon games on Hatari first ( there is so little amount of them, that its possible to check'em all one evening ;) ), as this machine is quite expensive and if you want it to buy it for games its definitely not a good idea. The list of Falcon specific games can be f...

Re: New ST project - Pole Position arcade conversion

From what I see on the screens attached to this thread, its rather max 16 colors ( but I could be of course wrong ) But if it goes for the 16 colors palette in ST series, well, there are quite some tricks which allow to display more. Look at background here: https://youtu.be/_K195FwUi2g?t=7m34s Just...

Do you mean to attach it to the thread? If yes, then if you press "Full Editor & Preview" button, you will have the "Attachments" tab where you are able to attach any kind of files to the forum.

Re: STE - mouse pointer

I guess the OS is still painting a mouse pointer on the old 'screen'. I changed "logical screen" address, try to modify also "physical screen". I'm not sure if I understand correctly, but 'physical screen' is the one I have modified. I did not modify the 'logical screen' as I do...

STE - mouse pointer

When I run below code, I get the mouse pointer fine. But when I uncomment the block responsible for setting my own screen memory ( described below ) mouse pointer does not show. Why does it behave like this? ;super clr.l -(a7) move.w #32,-(a7) trap #1 addq.l #6,a7 move.l d0,old_stack ;save palette m...

Re: Underscore character

I guess you either use different TOS version with STEEM than with Hatari, or STEEM is lacking emulation for Atari keyboard. The TOS image files are in one folder from which Hatari and Steem is configured. And I of course tried to press all the possible keys on the keyboard, but maybe missed somethi...

Re: STE horizontal hardware scroll

Thanks, I understand this. Re: STE horizontal hardware scroll

Thanks guys. I was hoping I was wrong as with vertical hardware scroll it seems like a real hardware scroll, no cpu involved, just the matter of memory. And as horizontally I need a little more width than this allows it looks that cpu must be engaged. The way around it is a little CPU-hungry but by ...

STE horizontal hardware scroll

According to: http://ftp.lip6.fr/pub/atari/Docs/hardware.txt $FF820F|byte |Width of a scanline (width in words-1) |R/W (STe) register ff820f is of a byte size for STE ( falcon has a different register which is of word size ) So does it mean that on STE there is a limit of a one shot playfield compos...

Re: CTPCI and Realtek 8139D

Well, if I remember correctly, Svethlana can be a little faster than 800KB/s with some newer firmware ( I still have version v5 which was supplied with it ). But it still will be far away from 2MB/s, so yes, the best option is RTL8139 so far and I should order it shortly :)

Yes, even on Svethlana I only have like 2 times more than on NetUSBee ( max 800KB/s, avg 600KB/s ) so this 2MB/s is massive compared to anything on this platform so far :)
