serial programing (st and falcon)

Hi,
anyone has some sources/info/examples about ST/Falcon serial ports programming (without os calls, preferably in c / m68k asm)?

Perdrix24: We haven't tested anything under Safari/Mac. Previous version was very big, so it had to be butchered. We don't use any bloatware js libraries anymore. We reworked UI completely, so it's quite likely not everything will be working exactly like previous version. In general, I will look int...

Re: FW11 update app

Anyone managed to use app010 updater with 011 firmware package? How bz2 has to be prepared for app10 installer to correctly use them? I've tried to pack 2 mcs files them to tar.bz2 on pc, but it seems that it's not what program expects (it prompts for bz2 file).

Re: Wanted: 2xHM6265L-70 for MegaSTE

I've managed to get tag ram (https://elel.sklep.pl/uklad-sram-mk48s74p-20-st-cdip-28n-gold-dc-9040,3,19138,8824), but it didn't resolve my problems, that's why I was seeking IMS1630PL-70 replacement too. Someone has checked pals on another machine and it looks that they are working fine. I'm slowly ...

Ok, thanks. There are two types though, synchronous and asynchronous, which one to choose? Or it doesn't matter?

Re: MSTE + Cache == EPIC FAIL

Hi, I've got similar problems when enabling cache on MSTE. In general I've removed Monster board and reseated chips near cpu and problem still persists. I've switched to other psu (atx), problem didn't disappear. Currently used psu phihong had replaced caps. I've noticed that CPU(m68000FN12F) and se...

Re: Here, have a seat....

I've got similar issue with cache in my mste right now. It looks like issue is triggered after machine is warmed up, when it's cold everything works fine. Anyone had similar issues? Everything works fine when I launch system with control, but it eventually freezes when I for example change resolutio...

Re: New TT + FALCON/ST PC-like case.

I would be interested in atari tt case, ideally in desktop. Smallest possible and with straightforward, minimalist design, with extra space where I could accomodate gfx card. I hate my current tower case, it's too big. I wouldn't mind if something similar for f030 did exist. Regards, PG

Re: CF card + HDDRIVER 10.02 in Falcon

I had similar problem on ste recently. In the end I've formatted card on pc and partitioned card with win/tos without byte swapping (on latest hd driver 10.11). Second thing is that I far as i know you cannot boot from tos/win mixed partition on f030. I think that this was mentioned somewhere on hd ...

Re: REminiscence flashback for falcon

Well, probably you're first who tried it on Milan. I don't have one, no one reported anything since several years. It was tested on ct60/f030 only. Probably there is an issue with SDL and with little additional work game could work. Maybe SDL update could help or setting SDL environment variable rel...

Re: REminiscence flashback for falcon

I didn't spent on this port too much time. There were some updates to the engine, so maybe I will update it at some point. Definitely mod replay on dsp could help, but sound mixer had to be reworked. I don't know how much work it would be.
mikro: patches are welcome. ;)

Re: HxC inside 520ST (not 520STF!)

I'm doing similar mod myself (internal HxC) and I have one question, how internal +5DC is sourced from inside? I've read somewhere that standard psu isn't enough and you have to provide addtional power supply. Is this true? And after connecting device and sourcing +5dc from internal power port I hav...

For base mt32 i think 0 is better. But doom music sounds better on gm devices. i don't remember if original game had custom mt32 patches.

Re: Bad Mood : Falcon030 'Doom'

From the configuration file:
; midi_device_type:
; 0,1 - MT32 compatible
; 2 - standard GM/GS device
; midi_channel - number of channel for external midi device - 1-16 (1 is default))

Why do you changing midi_channel output? Default doesn't work?

dml: Yes, I've made an update and now I can supply midi replay builds for both gcc versions. I've uploaded ready to link version on Bitbucket repo, so basically only library paths need to be readjusted when linking. Probably I will send one update with small fixes (they are ready, but they are on At...
