Jupiter Ace Orphaned

Since development on the Jupiter Ace has stopped, is there any chance some other developer could pick it up? I would really like to see some kind of file I/O on it.

MiST Tools

I would like to compile a list of the tools that users avail themselves of when working with mist. Here are what I have come up with: dir > list.txt - to generate filename list to process with excel excel - to easily generate scripts to batch process files (commercial, could use libreoffice instead ...

Re: Laser C with TOS 2.06?

In order to work with TOS 1.04, the patch program was inadequate so Megamax released version 2.1 of Laser C. I am not aware of any way to support TOS 2.06.

Re: Backward III and NVDI

Actually I have applications that only function in the presence of Backwards. Backwards can be fully configured for the various options of 8/16MHz, data cache on/off, instruction cache on/off, TOS patched, Gem On/Off. Combined with XBoot3, it makes for a highly configurable and more compatible Falco...

Backward III and NVDI

After a five year break I am back on my Falcon and looking to optimize it's performance. Backward III really helps with app compatibility. It did take me awhile to figure out that some of the hotkeys were reversed from the documentation on my machine at least. Specifically the cache controls. I also...

Help compiling MicroEMACS 5.0

I managed to successfully compile uemacs 3.9 under MWC 3.0. So I decided to give uemacs 5.0 a whirl. I believe I have estruct.h configured correctly, fixed a missing declaration statement, and got everything to compile successfully without any serious errors. The problem arose with the linker. There...

My first three suggestions would be Buck Rogers - Countdown to Doomsday and Matrix Cubed, and of course, Wing Commander.

Re: GamebaseST alive & kicking

Just a quick update! GamebaseST is progressing very well, it is now at v3.5d, which (if you understand my version numbers) means 400 games have been added since the last public release. I should be more, but I have ended up restructing almost everything to make it more accessible for users. I also ...

Re: CLI Shell for Falcon

Are you using plain TOS? In that case I can recommend Gemini+Mupfel. It would appear that there are four different versions available. 1.1 and 1.2 are in English. 1.99 and 1.999 are only available in German. I need an English version. Would 1.2 be adequate or is it too undeveloped? Are there any ot...

Looking for Micro C-Shell 2.7 by Beckemeyer

Extremely rare and very hard to find. Does anyone have a lead on Micro C-Shell 2.7 by Beckemeyer? History and automatic name completion make it much more useable than 2.6.

Re: Steem SSE 3.7 bug reports

Actually I just realized that the problem does not seem to arise with STeem 3.7.x. It was a problem with all of the other versions of STeem with 3.6.4 and down. As soon as I would start to use the mouse it would just start moving down or to the right and I could not control it very well. But 3.7.0 ...

Re: Steem SSE 3.7 bug reports

Hmm, hasn't happened yet with me (I use up to 7). Do you mean the ST cursor or the PC? Is option C1 checked? Are you moving the mouse or does it start by itself? Is it all the time? There's an option for mouse speed in the joystick form. Actually I just realized that the problem does not seem to ar...

Re: Steem SSE 3.7 bug reports

I have a problem with my mouse. I have noticed this in Windows 7, 8.0, 8.1, and 10 (recently upgraded). When Steem is in windowed mode the mouse wants to scroll to the right or left until it reaches the end of the window. I have not had this problem in Windows XP. It seems to affect every version of...

Re: Steem SSE 3.7 bug reports

The Pasti mode does not allow me to use 1.4MB floppy image files which is a minor inconvenience. But PLEASE do not remove the the TOS 2.0x option. I have a MegaSTE and this is one of my favorite emulation modes in STeem. I probably spend more time with it than any other. Incidentally, does the blitt...

The HD image option of pasti works just fine on STeem SSE 3.7.1 with all version of TOS I tested with one minor exception. If I set the option "Pasti only for STX" when using TOS 2.06 (and 2.05), my hard drive image is disabled. I works fine with the other TOS versions. Is this maybe a pec...

Re: Steem SSE 3.7 bug reports

When I try to use 14MB of RAM, I only get a blank (Atari) screen. Other RAM configurations are working so far. I am testing in STE mode with TOS 2.05 and TOS 2.06. It does not seem to matter whether I am in full screen mode or windowed.

Re: STeem SSE Feature Request - Title Bar

I may be missing some fundamental point here, but why not use the built in hard drive options and make a D: drive point to some folder on your computer, mount the 1G ASCI image as C: and simply copy the contents to the STEEM created hard drive, then mount the second 1G ASCI and do it again - that w...
