Re: Going into demo creation in 2017?

Go go! :) And do it whatever way you want as long as you have fun doing it. Real hardware, emulation or PC using cross platform development, the important part is to enjoy it. GFA basic is probably a good way to get started, it will make the learning curve less steep once you want to get started with...

Re: Les dingues pro Amiga ne savent plus quoi inventer

Gamopat has a few annoying Amiga trolls, especially dlfrsilver who never wastes an opportunity to throw tons of sh*t at the ST.

Just ignore them.

I was pulling your leg with my last message by the way.

Just out of cursioty, who were you talking about? Chris Wilkins? I never read any of this books but I noticed the numerous kickstarters and all.

Trecool: thank you, looks like good old planet-d is down again. Using good old Pouets instead then.

That was a great example of community work with proofreading ;)

Re: The Atari ST (and others) and the Creative People

Gryzor: Maybe you should have someone proofread your posts to make sure people understand what you are writing, since obviously most of us missed the point. Then that person could take care of Marco's next book ;)

Re: The Atari ST (and others) and the Creative People

The other question was answered as well: I'm OK with imperfect work especially when it's about such a niche subject and I don't consider it as a cash-grabbing exercise. I doubt Marco will buy a new car with a book that sold 600+ copies. This work is obviously the work of someone who is passionate. I...

Re: The Atari ST (and others) and the Creative People

In any case, for someone writing harsh reviews and harsh criticism, you don't seem to handle very well reviews and criticism yourself when it comes to your own work ;) You asked us what we thought about your reviews, we told you. My post was about the scene's reaction to bad products You have to acc...

Re: The Atari ST (and others) and the Creative People

I don't expect Lord Of The Rings English grade when reading Atari Inc Business is fun or Breakin' The Borders . 2 stars out of 5 basically means that it's a bad book. 1 star out of 5 means that it's utter crap. I suppose I will have to disagree with both reviews then. However, feedback can be given ...

I actually enjoyed reading that book, it's not perfect, it's not the best book about Atari but I read it entirely and I appreciated it despite its issues

Re: Demo scene

Speaking of this, I'm a bit out of touch. Pouet used to be the site you went to for demo's. What's the deal with demozoo starting up, people saying pouet is dead and some people clearly not liking Pouet anymore? Was there some big fight or something? Pouet is fine and is still a major demoscene web...

Free ST + joystick to pick up in Brighton (UK)

Hello, I bought a big job lot in Brighton but I am only interested in the games, I'm ready to give away the hardware for free to someone who could arrange the pick up and send me the games (I would pay for shipping of course). I won't take all the games, only the ones I don't already have (they are ...
