Re: 1920x1200? Rotation?

1920x1200 requires a higher pixel clock (193Mhz, see http://tinyvga.com/vga-timing ) than the single link DVI supports (165MHz). But I know that we have "cheated" in the past by reducing the off-screen border sizes to be able to lower the pixel clock for the 1920x1080 on DVI, and I know th...

No it doesn't. ;)

It is not supposed to, but if the SV produces a 640x480 screen even in 030 mode, then there is no other explanation. :P

Re: 1920x1200? Rotation?

The video data is stored line by line in the SuperVidel video RAM, and is fetched in that way too by the video pipeline in the FPGA. This is ideal for screens shown in the normal horisontal position. To support rotated vertical screens we would need to store the video data in 8x8-pixel squares I gue...

Re: CT60e and SV 060 v 030

The SV DVI output is not supposed to work in 030 mode but if the CT60 mirrors motherboard register writes to the 060 bus in 030 mode then the SV will hear them and present a screen on its DVI output (and on its VGA).

Re: Original video clock to SuperVidel

I have run some ST games patched for CT60 by Klapauzius. I think he has them all on his website http://www.klapauzius.net . For example Fire and Ice uses HBL palette switching on the main screen and this does not work well on SV unless you have soldered the clock+sync cables from your MB to SV. With...

Re: CT60 TOS source reloaded

With the SuperVidel we have stayed with 1.03c, since (the original) 1.04 contains some bugs where TOS assumes that since the SV screen resides outside ST-RAM, the system must contain a CTPCI+Rage board... This results in an enormous font during boot. Don't remember if there where also more severe bu...

Re: Fix for CT60/63 that doesn't power on

I think you can try soldering that capacitor if it's not too large to fit. Beware of the polarity of that capacitor though. Minus is marked with black, so that side shall be soldered to a GND pin. If you are vey inexperienced with soldering then maybe you should try getting hold of a capacitor with ...

Re: CT60e is coming :)

There are improvements besides mechanical ones: Willy has rearranged the order of the ABE, 060, SDR on the address and data lines of the CT60 100MHz bus, and managed to shorten the length of the bus heavily. This together with impedance matching using series resistors at the correct places has impro...

Re: Natcar

Knezzen, I think you should try the new FW11 variants, because I think you may have a SV FPGA that is too close to its timing limit, and that problem only shows up when you run Natcar that uses heavy blitting. :)

Re: [SOLVED] SV FW 010 -> Crash

Great!  Then the theory that some FPGAs have problems in different regions of the chip is correct. :) This is because they are quite heavily overclocked, from 166MHz to 200MHz. From know on we'll release every new version in three different variants, so you can try another one if the f...

I have just uploaded some new FW files for you to try, at nature.atari.org. There are both FW010 files and FW011 (bigger superblitter FIFO and a small debug counter, so nothing major). Each FW version has 3 variants (different timing score) with different routing inside the FPGA. This can help you a...

That is strange :? Does it freeze completely with the title screen still visible and the audio repeating the same sound at a high rate?
