Re: amstrad cpc 6128

I've never got this core running on my TV via SCART, it always defaults to saying No Signal. Most other cores run without issue. The closest I got was when I learnt that the OSD button can toggle the scan doubler. If I push the core to 31KHz mode and then back to 15KHz, I DO see the blue BASIC scree...

I never got this core to give a picture on 15KHz mode on my LG TV, so I think you're on the right track here.

where can we go to request features, it would be good to have a roms directory, so no to have a messy root dir :) I submitted a feature request in the forum section you've posted in. - http://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=30314&p=300794#p300794 Unfortunately nobody appears to have p...

Re: Mist, Keymap... HELP

The majority of the keys on your keyboard should match the ST layout, I believe. If you're talking about country-specific issues (e.g. the £ sign is missing, or # si in the wrong place), then these are largely down to the country version of the TOS image you use. There are plenty of images on google...

Pondering cycle accuracy

Just a curious question that I've been pondering - I understand that the FPGA 68000 core used in the ST and Amiga cores isn't considered cycle accurate, and presume this manifests itself as some instructions taking too many/too few cycles to complete. I can also understand how this will impact code ...

Bah! Road Wars is the game I was thinking about (I think I had the same ST pack as in cappsie's link), but as it's been 25 years since I bothered with it, I obviously forgot the name :)

These two articles give a pretty thorough (and hopefully accurate) description of the whole negotiation process.

where did you find this serial number? Probably it's inside... I'll try to open mine one day. I didn't have to open anything, I have additional sticker with # on bottom of the unit (next to Mists nameplate). I have a sticker saying it was made by Lotharek, but no serial #number with this. Same here...

I spoke to Jeff Minter about Xenon II at the 1989 Computer Shopper show. He was particularly unimpressed with the collision detection.

On the other hand, I rate that game as one of my all time favourites.

Firmware feature request - toggle scandoubler

Hi, For all the folks working on the firmware, would it be possible to add an option whereby if a key (say the shift key) is held down while the core is loaded (either from cold, or changed via the menu), the scandoubler parameter passed to the core from the ini file is reversed? I sometimes take my...

Very nice. My only comment is that you've specified that the 68020 CPU is implemented as a 68EC020, but as that could can only address 16MB and the MiST can use 24MB fast mem plus chip and slow, I'm not sure if that's actually correct?

You could well be right then. I should have said mine looks like it's plugged into a connector on the motherboard. I might take it apart next week and confirm anyway.

On my 1040STFM the ribbon cable is plugged into a connector on the motherboard, not directly soldered.

Re: MiST and ATARI/SCART Monitor

P.S. Total Eclipse: how did you produce the hard disk image? Can you share it? Glad you've managed to get it sorted. So essentially it was booting into 70HZ hi-res mode via SCART? I produced the image by following the guide on the MiST pages here https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki/AtariM...

MiST - ST.zip
Here's my core file, TOS image and config file. Note that I usually boot a HDD image as well but have not included that.

I don't boot this core by default (I boot to the Amiga usually), however have done so in the past so know it works.

Re: MiST and ATARI/SCART Monitor

Clutching at straws here, as you say you've already got MiniMig and other cores working, but do you have a blank line at the end of your ini file as well? I've heard that failing to put a CR after the last line can cause issues, but that wouldn't explain why the other cores work. Edit - I've just ch...

I'm using this one:

That site looks familiar, I'm pretty sure I;m using TOS versions from there as well.

Have you tried a US ROM? That should cause the ST to boot into 60hz mode.

Re: MiST and ATARI/SCART Monitor

My monitor is a Philips CM8833, when I'll come back home I'll see the firmware version. Did you mean CORE or OST firmware? I was referring to the firmware of the MiST rather than the core. Not really sure what could be going on here. My LCD TV won't work with 50hz VGA so I have to use SCART for PAL...
