Re: New FTP client available

I've released a TOS-only FTP client for STiK/STinG that I wrote a while back. The source is available at: https://github.com/anodynesoftware/pftp The binaries are available at: https://github.com/anodynesoftware/pftp/releases Its main claim to fame is that it's faster than most other TOS-only FTP c...

Re: Beginning of very long journey

Geez! Atari clearly outsourced the routing to a 4-year old with an etch-a-sketch!

Re: Wanted: Dead or dying TT030 systemboard

Thanks Gaiyan, so I should be trying to get a rev D or later? I guess it depends on what exactly is the end goal with scanning? If the point is to perhaps manufacture the motherboard at some point then ideally you need schematics to support this. This rules out the C302406-001 FAB. Although scannin...

Re: Wanted: Dead or dying TT030 systemboard

I think some thought must be given as to what revision you want to have scanned.

Re: Mega ST Keyboard Switches

Alright! Switches arrived and I'm done. First I cleaned the mounting plate and attached it back to the PCB. Top tip: leave screws loose so that the pcb can move I had bought new stabilizers IMG_0182_result.jpg IMG_0183_result.jpg Insert the switches. Make sure they click in place all the way down. A...

Re: Mega ST Keyboard Switches

I cleaned the other set of keys. In addition to being a different shade, they have a slight yellowing that I think might actually work better with the new keys. At least in this case. That pun was absolutely intended. Once the the paint has cured I'll see how it looks with it. What do you guys think...

A little update. New keycaps arrived today. Re: Mega ST Keyboard Switches

Here's a very crude mockup (perspective is a bitch) on an STE on what I'll probably end up going with but I'll look at a lighter option with enough contrast to the originals:

Re: Mega ST Keyboard Switches

I decided to remove all the switches in one go. I timed myself and took exactly 1 hour to desolder switches and remove from plate. Keyboard was already apart. Some observations: - Solder wick was the first method I tried. It was so good that I didn't even bother with my de-soldering gun or pump. It ...

Toying with color options. Here are a few renders. The rare enter key doesn't render properly. First one is the best approximation of original colors I could come up with. Re: Mega ST Keyboard Switches

Some terms you'll run into when looking at keysets are DSA,DCS,SA,G20,OEM. They are used to indicate the profile of the keys. Unless you have a modern flat keyboard, every row of keys has a different shape and angle. That's why I can never swap the Y and Z keys in DE keyboards because they are very ...

Re: Mega ST Keyboard Switches

Spent all night trying to come up with the best solution for keycaps. Barring originals, there is no complete keyset available for this keyboard. Here is why: - Function keys are bespoke and unique. Not a problem because they are the same in every region. - Enter key is very hard to come by. It's a ...
