I could just link to sights that have the 1200 towers running at over 100Mhz, etc. it's a versatile machine if you know what you're doing! The Amiga 2000 is okay - nothing I'd go crazy about. All I need from an Amiga is to have a hard-drive and be able to run most games. Horses for courses I'm afrai...

Still £101. What did the seller say Muggy?

Probably going to be a mad rush for this at the end I imagine...

Can't think of the tool now (MSA Suite 1.41 I think) but it allows both writing of ST and MSA on the ST. ST files are uncompressed as already stated here - so for preservation I'd use that format... MSA files are compressed ST files - so they are, obviously, not an identical copy of the original... ...

3.5 days left mate - price hasn't changed in about 2 days - I do think most people will bid at the end - that's what I'd do anyway - for me there is no point in bidding until the last 30 or so seconds....

5 days left on it and it's still at £101 - think that's priced most people out - if I hadn't just bought 3 Amiga's with games / hard-drives etc. then I would have bid for this - though I actually only bid in the last minute... hehe

tjlazer I would be most grateful if you could do that.

One of my favourite games (Manhunter) will not work on two different versions as I think it is an early version the TOS 1.0 disk may help.

Many thanks,

Macca.

It's now stopped on £101 for the past few hours anyway - which I suppose is some relief. The only problem you will have with most people is that if you email them and say I'm interested in it purely from a preservation front or from a historical point and will be sharing whatever there is with ever...

Definately going to finish high this one - epsecially as people are bidding now for it - crazy... People just don't realise that if they don't vote for anything until the end then they will get it a hell of a lot cheaper - I only ever vote in the last minute of an auction - I know I'm frigged if I g...

Hmm disks... I now have the space to keep them and that's what I would be going for in the auction (though could do with a HD for the STE as well to be honest - mainly for the Manhunter Games).. Will see what happens with the auction in the next few days and see if I have any spare cash... Hmm £51 ...

Any ideas on how to make it more 'compatible'?

I remember there being emulators on the Amiga anything similar on the ST?

Games on a real ST?

A bit strange this one... I'm not sure what TOS I have but I have a 4MB Atari 520 STE. For some reason, and I have no idea why or how to fix it, some games just don't run and bomb out... Any ideas? Is there a program to fix it? Automation 1 and Sinbad is one of the games that doesnt work. Cheers, Ma...

I'd bid for this if I had some way of collecting it - lol

If I still live 'up North' then no problem... could hire a van for the day... still might have a mate up there who could potentially drive it up to Manchester and back down here...

Will check it out with him...

Hey RetroGamer. I would have anything he is willing to get rid off if it's cheap enough - lol Let me know what he's getting rid of and how much he wants and I'm sure we can come to some arrangement.. At the moment I have DVD drives / Memory (PC2100 and below) / etc. etc. if you want hardware instead...

I had the A600 purely because I got it for £1.21 - lol

I will get the A1200 eventually but they aint compatible with the older games that I used to enjoy...

Eventually when I get the desk situation at home sorted out then I'll get my commodore 64 setup as well..

A little program called makedisk that converts them from .ST or .MSA so they play on the ST fine. This program has to be run under DOS only - so you have to boot from a Windows 98 / ME bootdisk and run it like that off the CD. And Muggy... You are a git - it only cost me £1.21 the frigging floppy d...
